Played at the Cherokee casino again last night. Was exhausted and didn't take it seriously. Bought into the $1/2NL game for $100.
Called for $5 on the button after a live straddle and 2 callers with 87s, straddler checked, flopped 2 of my suit, called a $5 flop bet, turned a 7, called a $10 turn bet, whiffed the river and folded.
Called for $5 on the button after a raise and one other caller with JTo later, then when they both checked the flop I tried to bluff $10 at it and it didn't work (one of the villains flopped trips).
Raised KK UTG to $10 - whole table made a big deal about how "huge" my raise was, but 4 people called it! I was screaming "no ace no ace" inside my head, because I was going all-in on any flop that didn't have an ace, but wouldn't you know it, an ace flopped and I was done with the hand.
Opened A9o for $5 in the HJ, only the BB called, then the BB donked $10 into a JJ3 flop. Confused, I folded.
Down to about $50, I raised 88 to $10 in the HJ, got 3 callers, flopped AA5, went all in, unfortunately one of the villains did have an ace, but I two-outered him on the turn to double back up to my original $100 buyin.
A couple orbits later one of the fishier players at the table raises to $5 from UTG+1, one caller, I raise to $15 on the button with AKo, he 3-bets to $30 and I go all in, and he tanks, calls and flips over AA. Done for the night.
Had a delicious prime rib dinner in the casino's steakhouse though, and since I'm on business, I can expense it
.
Pretty good chance I'll go back next Wednesday as well.
