There are times where you made few FTs at the same day won the top few-th score and you feel like you are one of the best poker players in the world.

There are times you can grind 12 hours+ every single day and still kinda break even. Reaching at night you wanted to fall asleep thinking what an useless person you're, earned nothing monetarily for the whole day.

Next morning, you lift your ass and sit in front of your computer again...

Depends on how results oriented you are versus how badly or how well you play poker.

Playing well but getting bad results in the short term is very unpleasant.

Playing badly and getting bad results in the long term is very expensive.

I think I've posted this as a response to you before, but it's worth saying again:

For me, it's sitting down at a 4/8LHE table with $200 and getting up 7 hours later with nothing. No matter how much I tell myself ahead of time, "it's a game, I'm there to have fun, I could win, I could lose" before I sit down, the feeling of "Why the hell did I just completely waste 7 hours of my life and 200 dollars of my hard-earned income?" kicking me in the gut, and feeling like I'm wearing a 100-pound lead jacket as I walk out of the casino back to my hotel room yada yada. The $8 food comp is hardly a consolation.

Where you and I differ, though, is it usually takes *me* 2 or 3 days to get over it - I don't even sit in front of the computer to play so soon after a beating like that.

But the good news is, at least for me, I *do* get over the disappointment of the grueling loss, I *do* remember that poker is just a game, and I'm able to continue enjoying it just as much as I did before the beatdown.

Like alec torelli said, I found being a poker player like being your own boss, but who knows every profession has its own difficulty...I'm currently grinding at least 20 mtt + satellites per day @ 888 low stakes, its very mentally challenging

When we play poker, we see ourselves like a business entity how to make the most profit based on the market fluctuation. I been treating this game seriously since half year ago. At age 25, I really want to make this my full time profession.

Also, online poker is convenient for me, because even after xchange rate, mid stake is okay income for me.

Absolutely. 100%. There are bumps in the road like what I described in my response to the OP but for the most part I've found a thoroughly enjoyable hobby.

Ouch! I hate it when that happens to me also. Sounds like you have the desire and dedication to pursue poker as a job. That requires tons of hard work and long days.

I'm trying to ignore the bad beats but I know im a winning player long run. Its so mentally tough...shove AJ called by J3o j3 won, shove AJ called by 77 all bricked while this guy was shoving ace ragged earlier called by my TT, flop ace high now I was eliminated from the satellite from few places.

The variance is so freaking tough to bear, sometimes. Like I said, when u hitting the money/big score, you feel like you're the best player in the world

Aiming to be the best player in the world is silly. You are on your own journey and others are on their journey. Aim to make the best play in the moment. I make them all the time and i also make the worst play too.
