Not really though.
I've agreed that I could use some advice, not that I would accept just any, especially if it's not about the subject I've asked for advice on.
I use this forum to bounce my thoughts and ideas off other poker players. I do read (listen) to what people say (type) but I'm not blindly accepting advice, that would be foolish.
How much of what people say I accept, also really depends on the way they're saying it.
If you tell me I MUST or SHOULD do something, my basic attitude is to instantly disagree.
If on the other hand, you make suggestions as to what I could be doing instead, I'd be way more open to that.
The more certain someone is of themselves the less inclined I am to listen to them.

This is also the reason why I try to make suggestions or tell people how I would do something.
Because I have a very high degree of uncertainty about my skill level.
My goal in starting this thread was:
1) Find out what others think about creating an "alternate personality" to assist in creating greater achievements.
2) Find out who's already doing what I want to be doing (grinding and studying like a maniac) so I can learn from them.
