I don't know what happened, but I've become superrrr weak-tight.

I'm afraid to c-bet, checking lots of good hands, and just getting pushed around by aggressive players.

Is this a confidence issue? Should I move down a level for awhile? Takea break? I'm just really frustrated by my play and the FEAR I feel when i play..

Yeah I have the same problem. Almost never bluff, Cbet very rare, I feel like I get pushed out of pots. I moved down but I was still playing weak tight. I win but its painfully slow.

I think it has to do with the players that I play we never fold so weak tight because the optimal way of playing.

3bet PF to $1.30-$1.50. This instantly makes him -EV to continue with small P's. Cbet Pot, shove Turn.

You played it standard, but your "mistake" was you didn't raise enough and allowed him to play properly.

Remember, we can profitable setmine with 1:10 implied odds. You DON'T WANT to give a setminer implied odds. Especially a donk 2bb/limper.

Implied odds has more to do with chip stack rather than actual bet sizing does it not?

IMO, if I were OP, I wouldn't be worried about this hand. You simply were not deep enough to get away from stepping on a land mine. Come flop, the pot is > 25% of the respective stacks in question.

If flop came 2 7 2, you would have stacked him. He just happened to spike a set and the only way you can figure that out is AFTER some heavy betting, and by then, you are all in.

I understand Moya's logic and do not fault it, but problem with too big of a bet preflop is that you scare away those weaker pairs that you want to call. I think your 3bet is fine, he just happened to spike a set. It happens

It happens a lot TBH.

Its funny because when I get ready to play a session I mental prepare myself to fold. In my head I would say "I am going to be folding a lot" and "Wait for a strong hand", "Dont bluff just cbet good flops" but I go no were fast if could take me hours just to be up 1 BI at 10NL or PLO.
