do you feel good while you are grinding? (besides winning)

how well do you guys handle big losses or major downswings? (how bad do you feel and how long does it take for you to get right

do you feel like poker has made you numb to big losses or are they just as painful no matter what?

im 2+2's resident psychologist, i received my undergraduate from bovada state university and my doctorate from amaya state, so im sure you will all agree im uniquely qualified to ask these scientific questions

I feel great break even or winning. Losing still makes me feel bad. Whenever I lose I've trained myself to say "nice hand sir." I never express anger at the table. I try to be good for the game.

How I feel has less to do with poker and more to do with the players. I don't play online, only live. I have the most fun at a loud, boisterous table full of drunks (myself included). Just grinding away silently with 8 other people drinking tea and black coffee bores me to tears.

If I made the right decision but got unlucky, I audibly grown, reload, and buy a beer. Especially if the other player is terrible and keeps making bad but expensive moves. If however the losses were my own fault, I sulk a bit and go get drunk at a bar and do something else (karaoke, dance, etc) to move my mind off it.

Losses don't hurt, being embarrassed and making bad decisions hurts. Yet I keep making them. ... hm.
