"18.2. Without limiting this clause 18.1, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to deactivate or suspend your Customer Account (notwithstanding any other provision contained in these Terms and Conditions) where we have reason to believe that you have engaged or are likely to engage in any of the following activities:
...
i. you attempt to use your Customer Account through a VPN
...
18.4. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have participated in any of the activities set out in clause 18.2above then we reserve the right to withhold all or part of the balance and/or recover from your Customer Account any Prizes, Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins that are attributable to any of the activities contemplated in clause 18.2. In such circumstances, your details may be passed on to any applicable regulatory authority, regulatory body or any other relevant external third parties."

Global can confiscate your funds for using a VPN.

Also this:

"7.26. Sweeps Coins is only valid for 90 days from the date you last logged on to your Customer Account and will thereafter automatically expire.
7.27. Sweeps Coins may be forfeited if a Customer Account is deactivated for any reason, or at our discretion."

I personally won't play another hand here or recommend Global to anybody while they have these policies.

Edit: Okay I lied. I am below the min withdrawal so I guess I have to play some hands to win enough to withdraw. I never felt safe putting any serious amount of money on this site.

While I don't think these are necessarily good terms, there's been no evidence of global unjustly seizing money or sweeps coins and their withdrawal consistency + time window has been pretty acceptable for years now. I don't see reason to raise the alarm/"never play another hand here or recommend Global to anybody" because you can deep-dive into a ToS and find a couple catch-all clauses that are, realistically, standard but haven't been abused at all on Global's part.

I read the TOS when I created my account. I decided, after reading, that I was OK with them. Only then did I accept the terms. I also read the occasional updates as they occur. By doing this, I protect myself from being blindsided by Global policy.

You can't protect yourself from being blindsided. There are plenty of posts showing people getting shafted by Global.
Their - so called "patented sweepstakes model" is the biggest load of crap. They're an illegal BS site and the absolute worst random generator I ever saw.
Just stay away from them.

How are these standard clauses? What other sites have them? Ignition will close your account and remove funds but only after 18 months. 90 days is ridiculous and I do believe I recall a post here where they did it to somebody.

I don’t personally use a VPN but it’s ridiculous that they could confiscate your funds for it. A lot of people use VPNs for legitimate reasons. I haven’t checked if other sites forbid VPN usage.

These are not the only reasons I wouldn’t recommend the site.

Go look at any TOS. They all have similar causes.

As for "There are plenty of posts of people getting shafted":

Most of these posts end up with the OP lying about something.

I’ve gotten vpn warnings from other sites but they have never done anything since I wasn’t using it to play from a location other than where I actually was. We should applaud them for taking a hard stance on VPN usage bc Russians/Ukrainians/Euros in the games would be awful. Fish don’t use vpns to circumvent TOS and get access to sites, professional poker players do.

Yes, this is absolutely great. If will keep Europe and the rest of the world out keeping the games soft.

Yeah, but a lot of people use VPNs for normal internet activity, not for circumventing TOS.

Does no one care about the 90 days thing? I'm the only one that is paranoid I'll forget about my account for 90 days?

You can’t have it both ways. Luckily for you if these things are a deal breaker there’s a plethora of sites that allow vpn usage and dormant accounts for more than 90 days.

They just took my balance of $194 because I was unaware of the 90 days thing.

They actually told me I had 30 days on Feb. 20th, then took the money March 1st.

Global definitely illegal. That's why they've been shut down in all fifty states.

Oh, wait....
