30 tables open and a grand total of 2 tables running lol, what a great sight for a recreational player to loginto

feel like this site has always been rec-friendly typically what with the lack of waitlists, scripting, and overall less camping than other sites.

But recently it became catastrophically worse (just at HS, granted).

Yeah that doens't seem like a good thing. My understanding is some sites put table caps in place correct? I am by no means a high stakes reg or rec, so am asking an open ended question to give a chance to someone who knows much better than I do how you could solve that above problem easily.

splayaa- before I start, I know i am not the caliber of player you are wanting solutions from (and I'm not professing to be or having a fix). With that said...would some kind of auto close timer set on tables with three or more players that remain dormant work? I know that will bring up the rake factor vs. number of seated players and the question of how to get a table started, but from that earlier screen shot...it looks like a pride of lions waiting on the single water buffalo to cross the river. I noticed four tables that are full and are inactive as well...is there a point to that?? What are they waiting on...maybe, Christmas?? When (not very often) and if I do play cash games, I am at the other end of the spectrum, so I am interested, also, in hearing solutions from someone playing at that level. -Happy Holidays

yes correct, rand...that's what stars has implemented, inactive tables time out.
Sites either need to add and enforce that feature or actively combat table camping "manually" i.e. take screenshots and send warning emails, and follow up.

Splayaa plays at the 5c 10c tables. (and not very good I might add) He does not play at that level.

your reading comprehension is poor, he's not addressing splayaa as if hes a HS reg, so youre just denigrating ppl for no reason. everyone is on the same page except u

This happens when certain recreational players are on. Basically whoever can sit at (and sit out at) the most tables without missing any is guaranteed to get a seat at the table that the rec eventually sits at. It is a complete embarrassment obviously and something really does need to change.

It renders game starting totally meaningless because bum hunters just block the open seats at the tables the regs are trying to start a game at.

It is a complete embarrassment obviously and something really does need to change. If there is no software based solution to this then Global should deal with the offending bum hunters individually. It is actually a small group of players who are responsible for it.

I can imagine it is likely just a few players doing it, but if Global kicked them off the site (which they wouldn't want to do so it likely won't happen) wouldn't more just show up?

Again, I don't have the answers. Just trying to push the conversation forward because I can see that this kind of pattern of behavior by a few players can really mess things up.

Your screen name?

Mine is splayaa.

Yep, 9max 10NL is my jam, nope I am not very good, did I say I was? Please link below the post where I claimed to be a killer or even good.

My point here was to push the conversation forward, Clearly there is an issue and I want to see issues resolved, even if it doesn't directly impact the tables I play it. Eventually it does impact the tables I play at. Plus that whole "help the community" thing I tend to do.

If you are just trying to drum up some action, find me at the above mentioned stakes. I have yet to see anyone at 10NL I have an issue with being at my table. Some I win a little from, some I lose a little too.

If you are hurt because I said something to you here or at the tables, just understand one thing, it was all true.

If you are here for the lol's... then you win I guess.

I find it odd how a Live casino poker room can have an active manager with two tables running

But online rooms don't have an active manager to fix and send messages to players abusing things. Especially regs

What's up with the 4 6/6 tables that are not even running? Rec is sitting out so everybody else is?

Regs spawning new tables when fish busts hoping to get the table he's going to sit at. Table fills up with regs who all sit out, rinse repeat. Then you have inf tables with no one playing. Current system is bumhunters paradise and really hurts the site. Rec deposits get chewed through at an alarming rate bc they have close to 0% chance of getting a table with even 1 other rec player.

Stroggoz started a thread a while ago about this here:

Yeah I remember that thread, but at least for me the question didn't really make any sense until I saw the screenshot that Ralph put up. Again, not a HS player in any shape or fashion, but I can see this won't be a good thing if it continues long term no matter the stakes I play.

Wow. That's a whole 'nother level of table blocking. If I can't have the rec at my table then nobody can type of thinking. This has been going on for 7 months since that post by Stroggoz and still no solution has been implemented? Is there any downside for the site to implement the solution offered by Stroggoz?

Maybe they should follow what Bovada / Ignition did and just have players select the stake they want to play. Have them choose 6 or 9 handed and the site sits them a table at the sites discretion.

At least a year maybe longer idk. They still are using Cubeia software so who knows how that works exactly.

yeah but this is also a build up that has been caused by the site ignoring these problems for a long time
