Why are all the large stacks moved to the same table?

Everytime I have one of the top 3 stack I get moved to the same table as the other 2 top stacks.

Just got moved to a table with the 4 top stacks at the same table in a 6 max tournament with 50 people left. This happens every time to the point where I assume it's done intentionally, why?

While I don't often have the pleasure of having a big stack in tournaments, due to my lack of skill, and how little I play them, when I have gotten a big stack, I wasn't moved to the table with the big stacks.

When you say "everytime" can you clarify how often this has actually happened to you?

Lol, the other day I was playing a low stakes MTT and paid the Big Blind 4 times in a row. After each hand was over, I was moved to a new table and into the big blind. I don't play enough MTTs to know if this is standard, but it sure fealt a little...... riggy?

Minutes from latest Global board meeting:

Global CEO - “Where are we on software development?”

VP Software Development – “We’re in the final stages of beta testing the latest version which should eliminate lag for good.”

Global CEO – “I DON’T CARE ABOUT THAT!!!! Top priority is making sure slicktorine gets the big stacks at his MTT tables and WideWilly gets moved to the big blind every new table. Make it happen.”

VP Software – “Yes sir.”

Imagine being on 2p2 11 years and having takes like this?

Show your work next time and provide more than 2 instances, this is pathetic garbage.

Either it's rigged or it isn't. If you have to begin your post with "I'm not saying it's rigged" then don't and shut the hell up! If you truly thought Global or online poker in general was in fact rigged you display your intelligence every time you log in and play. Foh with these posts, take them to the RNG thread and circlejerk with the rest of the tinfoil hat geniuses.

That's what I'm saying. It happens literally every time. The top stacks always end up at the same table even when there are 5+ tables. It's not random, I don't understand why they do it.

Seems implausible. But not impossible. Say... wouldn't some proof be nice?

EDIT: My point here isn't to troll... okay it is a little bit to troll.... but what I am after is actual proof. Why? Because if this is "literately happening every time", then I for one would like to start making some more noise about it so we can get Global to look into it and possibly change.

But it is going to be tough for me to do without evidence. Help me help you slick

Re: Why are all the large stacks moved to the same table?

People said all of this stuff about Pokerstars, even though Pokerstars had (and still has) a very specific way to move players when tables break. For full table tournaments any time a player is busted with a divisible by nine number + 1 (to leave x/9 being a whole number) then that table breaks and the players on it move to other tables closest to the current position (but they cannot pay the same blinds multiple times in a row). In Omaha MTTs (smaller) there were times where one should make different plays based on whether one wanted the table to break or not.

In contrast some older networks that are not around (Cryptologic for instance) had none of these fine details in how they handled it, so indeed I have fond memories of paying 4 BBs in 5 hands deep in tournaments.

Makes no sense that they would intentionally put big stacks together as a function, so I dismiss that as that particular player complaining while putting himself as the main character of the poker universe (since if it literally happened all the time then it would have been a topic many brought up prior).

As to the way they handle blinds, I would not be surprised if it is a mess due to a lack of proper programming, but in theory everyone is in the same situation, so while it is not ideal - it is not fundamentally unfair either.

Well, with the lol structure, top 4 stacks should have around 25BB each. So, unless you enjoy being punted at by 5BB stacks, you’re welcome.

I haven’t paid this aspect much mind, but one possible benefit is that the game will drag out longer thus making the effective stacks more shallow in the endgame, which is beneficial to the weaker players

When all stacks are similar you end up seeing more fold arounds on the shorties tables, almost like unspoken collusion. This means the most likely bustouts will be on the middle stack (12-15bb) average tables bc the short tables are folding around and the big stack tables are playing carefully.

Again, haven’t though much about this and don’t really know if I buy that it actually happens.

I have noticed this quite often, tonight 15 players left I was 8th overall but 7th on my table finished 14th 3outed. Well that's poker.

Re: Why are all the large stacks moved to the same table?

15 players left and 6 of the top 7 stacks on the same table? It is literally impossible for this to happen in real life ever. Literally they only way this could ever happen is if they rigged it to do so, outrageous. Oh and nice ploy Global leaving one of them at the other table to throw off suspicions, but the 2+2 army isn't fooled, stop this rig immediately!
