Good poker players will capture a larger percentage of the total profit taken off the tables compared to bad poker players at shorter blind sizes than at 100bbs, assuming there's at least one recreational player at the table. Playing shorter forces players to be aggressive and play more pots, and the strategy of being nitty as hell and waiting for the nuts when the recreational player makes a good hand doesn't work as well at shorter stack sizes.

The fact that they added 10/20 back with 20bb cap seems like they are at least open to trying something new. 20bb cap 10/20 is not making poker great again global its making short stacking scum great again.
This may come as a shock, but a large percentage of recreational players actually prefer shorter stack sizes. This is very clear from data trends over the years from every online card room. From Global's perspective, adding 10/20 with a 20bb buyin (which is completely different than 20bb CAP), allows recreational players the chance to play higher stakes in a more fair environment.
100bb poker at Global Poker is still available for people who want to specifically play it, but now there is another option for high stakes cash games on Global that are much more fair to recreational players. Props again to Global for bringing more options to their site.
