I don't think that a solid player has a "bigger edge" in a spot with a 20bb effective stack than in a spot with a 100bb effective stack. There's still an edge to be had in short stack games but the edge is absolutely larger in deeper stacked games.

I couldn't believe how different these games were compared to ACR.

Also interesting to read about the table camping/bumhunters, I think this same conversation was going on w/ PS back in 2011 for those limits lol took awhile to make its way to Global.

I talked w/ the people in charge of the site about having them on a podcast long ago and they agreed but I decided against it. Maybe I should reach back out to them.
can you send them a petition signed by all players who want 10/20 back in its normal form for both nl and plo. 800 min, 2k cap. this site has been going the way of stars for a long time. trying to squeeze the last dime out of everyone they can. The fact that they added 10/20 back with 20bb cap seems like they are at least open to trying something new. 20bb cap 10/20 is not making poker great again global its making short stacking scum great again.

Good poker players will capture a larger percentage of the total profit taken off the tables compared to bad poker players at shorter blind sizes than at 100bbs, assuming there's at least one recreational player at the table. Playing shorter forces players to be aggressive and play more pots, and the strategy of being nitty as hell and waiting for the nuts when the recreational player makes a good hand doesn't work as well at shorter stack sizes.

This may come as a shock, but a large percentage of recreational players actually prefer shorter stack sizes. This is very clear from data trends over the years from every online card room. From Global's perspective, adding 10/20 with a 20bb buyin (which is completely different than 20bb CAP), allows recreational players the chance to play higher stakes in a more fair environment.

100bb poker at Global Poker is still available for people who want to specifically play it, but now there is another option for high stakes cash games on Global that are much more fair to recreational players. Props again to Global for bringing more options to their site.

Change to all rake structures no? Finally listening and improving for short handed games. Good sign.
