200 definitely seems soft, 400 as well but less so in my limited experience

I feel like live fish are gonna flock to 200 as many of them play 1/2 live, and there's no 2/5 game on Global so 400 will feel a bit different.

don't think I've played enough to really separate the good regs from the whatever regs, with a few exceptions

I mainly play PLO, but i sat down at 200NL a few times and i gotta say its pretty reg infested. Maybe its just my small sample but i found most people are solid at this stage.

Or maybe im just a huge NL fish LOL

I see new rec players everyday but overall traffic went down some 25% since Paypal.

I play in these games and don't understand for the life of me why people make posts like this about how soft American sites/stakes are.

Let's consider the hypothetical example of a European reg who, facing a tight online poker environment in 2018, considers VPN'ing into American sites. There is a significant amount of risk involved in faking certification docs, cashing out through an American agent/bank or friend, etc. This risk is only worth it if the reward is so great that it outweighs the cost.

Posts such as yours describing quality of play in very specific terms gives this reg PRECISELY the incentive he/she needs to go about taking this risk. Do you see what I'm getting at?

Lets all lobby for Stickyrice to stream Global Poker on Twitch.

I hear you, but I think that it's pretty unlikely for any Euro-reg to go around looking at small sub-forums for North American-only sites.

I agree that there's no upside and only downside to publicly talking about how soft a site is, but I think the risk is pretty minor. Also, this is the only way I can get answers to my questions; I don't really have any friends that play poker. With that said, you're obviously right, but I don't know to what degree.

(I also enjoy playing in tough games, even games where I'm straight -ev, but that might just be me)

I also like providing information and having others provide information about the things I'm interested in, and this is the only medium through which I can do that regarding poker.

I recognize it's kind of selfish.

I hear that.
FWIW (and I'm not just saying this to try to make the games seem hard), I definitely think 25-50nl pre-BF was a lot softer than American midstakes now. If you look at just the regs, people have improved a ton since the heyday of poker.
Hard to say exactly what American 200 equates to on Stars rn. I wouldn't say <25nl. The quality of regs is gonna be decidedly better than at 10nl or 16nl.

Is it just me or is games going to the pits ,?? look at games and 5 regs 1 fish if lucky ,and rake is to high for that ....

NL100 is definitely like this a lot of the time these days. NL50 is a fish fest tho.
Talking about 6-max, not sure about FR
09-09-2018 , 12:20 AM
100NL is soft as ****. You guys are bad.
09-09-2018 , 10:52 AM
I didnt say not some good spots , Just not as many fish as before , more variance with high rake and more regs ... Maybe I just played on bad days , table averages seem lower and less games running ... And more of the same names playing that seem to be winning players or small losers

Traffic has definitely dipped down after it hit a comfortable plateau following the WP fiasco. It's wild to struggle to find sng's on a Sunday evening. NL cash table count seems to be down around 10-15% (unscientific estimate).

I'm sure the Global folks are well aware of their traffic and GC purchases so hopefully they create a boost soon.

nl10 was really bad the past 24hrs. not a good sign.

NL10 can't be bad by definition. NL50 is a fish fest. So...

NL50 on global is as soft as your going to find ever. Bottom line. It’s nearly all fish or nits who just won’t bluff. But those who refuse to work bluffs into there game at NL50 you don’t see sitting 100NL 6 max unless it’s a soft game.

stop your nonsense your not a cash game player your a sng donk. All of a sudden your playing with the big boys at 200nl? Ya right. I will give guys guys honest feedback since i play cash games. Its not what it was 4 or 5 months ago. That party is over but i have to say them advertising at sports games I think is bringing more recreational players to the tables for whats it worth. It still reg infested but at least new recreational players are popping up every day keeping the games decent. I haven't seen much if any collusion at all the last month or so. And honestly thats all I am looking for is a fair game. Software still needs to be replaced. So from my personal opinion global is becoming a better site again. Its baby steps but at least it looks to be going in the right direction finding more recreational type players to traffic the site.

Agreed. Sine the paypal is removed, it has became reg infested from nl200 up. There are still fish but not as much as before. The traffic also dropped a lot. The site is not what it used to be lol.

nah, stop YOUR nonsense

I've been playing 1/2-5/10nl on here every day for a month and have hardly played any SnGs. It's a pretty easy game. It helps when you 4b/call off a shove with 87s vs a good player's aces and the flop comes 887, but even without that these games are just fine.

I'm a guy with extremely limited nl cash experience who is randomly clicking buttons as I try out new things and I still beat these games. Instead of constantly whining, as is your wont, you should mess around a bunch with books and software as I've been doing. I've already learned a lot.

It is true that in the 400 and 600 and 1k games you'll often have 5 reg 1 fish or even 6 reg games. But that will be true on every site until the end of the world, so it just is what it is. Some regs kinda suck, and some are very tough.

I played two tables of 2k nl with a spewy fish a week ago. I don't even think spewy fish on that level exist any more on Stars or Party or whatever 2k cash games.

Also, the word you are looking for is "you're". You are. Bugs the hell out of me.

For the last week or so at both 20NL and 50NL there's been a lot of new players.

10NL seemed to dry up a little. I don’t have a lot of volume though, could be a fluke. Moved to 20NL now, seems better.

If you need action at the 10NL tables, just come sit with me... I have been giving it away as of late
