Is there a wait list for tables? Is there a wait list for tables?

What if there's a wait list, and if a certain number of players are waiting, they start a new game? (Like if a 6-max list is started, a table will start when 4 players join the list)

Just want to thank everyone for their input on this topic. Many interesting comments both ways and we will certainly take all this on board when looking at this as a potential future development.

If we want a grinder boring bum hunting site, we can easily choose one of those non rec friendly sites.

No waitlist please. Keep this as recreational as possible.

With a global style wait list as posted above there is no bum hunting since you would be seated at the first available seat in your chosen game structure. I also like the idea of a new table auto opening and seating the waitlist if there are enough people waiting. Would be similar to a waiting list on the casino floor.

A really long wait list at a table makes other players take notice and wonder, "Why is there such a long wait list for this table?". So they also watch the table and find out who the bad player is and then they start to hunt him in the future. This dynamic perpetuates itself and before long you'll have a game filling instantly around the target player to the point where he starts to feel preyed upon and his level of fun goes way down.

For the long term health of your site, do not implement wait lists.

This is spot on. On acr, if there are long wait lists, then you know there is a rec at the table. When this happens, I'll look at the lineup to see if the rec is already known to me. If not, then I will observe a bit to figure out who the rec is and now that player is on my rec list.

You can refer to WPN/ACR's BEAST list (Control + F to search their name) as well to see who the recreational player is. Obviously if they are in the top #100 of the rakeback grinding list they are not a recreational player. It saves you time from watching them play.

+1 For No Waitlist. Please do not implement a Waitlist. Having a Waitlist will cause good players to prey on the bad players much easier. Bad players going broke quicker = bad for the entire ecosystem.

And having a waitlist will decrease the amount of tables running, because it will give less incentive to start and join new tables.
