What I wonder is when GPs day of reckoning will come. They already lost the ability to utilize Paypal as a processor. A global poker exec is on video stating about 80% of the player pool is there for the "Sweeps Coins" play aka real money. I am surprised they have operated as long as they have without any DOJ investigation or something of that ilk. Like how back in the day one of the purchase options was like 100k gold coins only for $70 and No SC at all... Like is that their idea of being slick? It reminds me of the scene from "The wash" when Tommy Chongs character sells to Snoop Dogg. He sells the bong to Snoop for $500 and "throws" the weed in for free, so in essence TCs character didn't sell any weed, he sold a bong and "gave" the weed for free. Same principle GP runs on, they sell different "gold coin" packages that also "give" certain amount of Sweeps coins "for free". Their excuse is they don't facilitate any "deposits" they just offer gold coins for sale and then they'll "give" you Sweeps Coins depending on the Gold coin package you just bought.

Cannot wait for online poker to be totally legalized and regulated country wide. Would eliminate 99% of all the issues online players face including all the shady grey area offerings.

If this bothers you so much than GP just isn’t the site for you.
Do people really think GP doesn’t have any lawyers? I’m sure a letter to the ftc or a phone call to a legislator will fix all your problems.

Ftp, pokerstars and UB had lawyers

Although I disagree with a lot posted in this thread. I think we can all agree that SC payouts for mail ins have slowed way down and are nearly non-existent since the change on May 31st. The change certainly wasn't put in place to make crediting easier and faster. They just simply aren't ackowledging receipt and crediting for enevelopes now.

LMAO this is becoming the new riggie thread.

First off, sweepstakes law merely requires that you have to be able to play for free. It doesn't require that you specifically be able to enter by snail mail. Here is a long list of cash sweepstakes that you can enter by playing online. Most of them don't provide a way to snail mail. I looked at 5 and only one did.
http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/directory/cash/

Right now Global poker is giving SC3.1 to play with per week by just logging in daily. So they are already meeting the play for free requirement play online. If you play the Sunday Scrimmage satellite to satellite for SC2.2, you can get a piece of a SC50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Not a bad opportunity for free.

It is also not illegal to make it cumbersome to play. There are some mail in sweepstakes that require you do art work, write an essay, or do something else creative. And they can disqualify you for the stupidest reasons. If you are going to send postcards to Global make sure you follow the rules perfectly, have neat handwriting, have perfect punctuation, dot every i, and cross every t.

You have no idea what youre talking about. Almost everything you said is wrong.

^^^^ LMAO from the riggie who claims he makes 5 digit cashouts and then complains about 5 dollar mail ins. Why don't your back up what you're saying with some evidence like I am?

I'll bet you didn't even follow the link I gave to see how wrong your are. There are numerous sweepstakes with online entry only no mail in. You don't know what you're talking about. Here are three. If you think they are illegal tell the FTC. LMAO.

Helping Homeowners Sweepstakes - $25,000 online entry only
https://www.figure.com/blog/sweeps/

Upgrade your summer Sweepstakes - $25,000 backyard makeover - online entry only
https://upgrade-your-summer.com/#official-rules

Sweepstakes alert. $5000. Online only.
https://play.sweepstakesalerts.com/rules-5000

As for being cumbersome, here are some examples. This one wants you to print out a picture of hamburger, color it in, scan it, and then send it to them.
https://www.thebalanceeveryday.com/f...stakes-4045864

This one wants to upload a video of your dance choreography.
https://makeyoudance.meghan-trainor.com/

So if you're going to complain to the FTC about global complain about these sweepstakes too. Global just wants you to have neat handwriting, artistic skills not required. I'm sure the FTC will enjoy laughing you off.

If you haven't heard from the usual complainers it means they got their 5000 envelopes worth of SC.

I tested this mail in system out for the first time ever and it is over 7 weeks with nothing. I can not get any kind of an answer and can not even get my postage refunded. I wonder if David knows how truly awful the customer service is and if he is paying a manager a good salary to oversee such useless group.
With no other recourse, I filed a FTC complaint which you can do here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 Also here is some of the info you need on the form: VGW Games Limited Address: 5-7 Matilda Court, Giuseppe Cali Street, Ta’ Xbiex, XBX 1423 Malta and Phone Number +356 99088901
I am not holding my breath. We live in the era of unaccountable corporate criminals.

It appears that this US based address would be better for an FCC complaint:

442 Post St Fl 9

San Francisco, CA 94102-1510

Or their PO Box in NH.

PM me your userID. Shouldn't be anything older than 7 weeks (in fact, a lot less) unprocessed.

New rules out today. Note that they added a clause saying you needed to send from the state you are registered in, so if you are traveling or live/work near a border, remember that if you send from outside your state the entry will be void. There may be other nuggets buried in there, but that was one that immediately stood out.

They clarified that it must be a blank and unlined index card or sheet of white paper. I will reiterate that of the few I have sent and received since the last change, I have received credit for all of the ones that were sent on lined index cards. Obviously if I send more in from this point forward, I will use unlined. Other than that and the location requirement, I noticed no other significant changes.

Interestingly enough, this is untrue. I emailed them earlier today, and they confirmed that while they prefer unlined, lined cards ARE acceptable.

I’ve recently started a personal challenge to see how long it would take me to min cash only using free sweeps methods. I started by using the free daily sweeps streak playing microstake sit and goes. Then I remembered you can mail in and request free sweeps. I thought that you could only send one request a month but after falling down this rabbit hole I found out that is certainly not the case lol. A couple questions for you guys that have been doing this for a while.
1) how strict are they with punctuation/capitalization on the request cards?
And
2) Do you get any kind of response if a request is deemed unacceptable?

I think the consensus is that it depends on which support rep responds to you and who reviews your cards-support seems to entirely lack consistency, so I would go with what is in the rules.

Are you ppl srs? Your ruining a good thing being lowlifes. You want no poker available for americans?Stop abusing the system to try and get tens of thousands of sweeps cash each. So true. Add to that people filing FCC complaints because they are not getting free Sweeps Coins.

Today's update contains this new language

Receive Sweeps Coins by sending a request by post. Participants can receive free Sweeps Coins by sending a standard post card or piece of white paper (Request Card) which must be 4” x 6”, unfolded, blank and unlined

Previous instructions did not say that. If customer service told you otherwise then send lined if you want I guess. Or maybe they haven't all been notified of the change.

Can you or anyone show me what a blank unlined postcard looks like? Postcards are intended for mailing and always have a place for the stamp and lines separating where you write in an address and where you write your message. Update on my situation: Still not credited and have not heard anything from the FTC. I only mailed in 5 entries to try it and it has been almost 8 weeks now.

Just use an index card. They don't literally mean a postcard in the way you are thinking. And any stores that sells index cards (Walmart, dollar store, etc) will have the blank, unlined ones in 4x6.

When you are creating a legal document words matter. They are LITERALLY asking for a POSTCARD. I appreciate that you too realize that what they are asking for does not exist.

"a card for sending a message by mail without an envelope, typically having a photograph or other illustration on one side."
"noun
Also called picture postcard. a small, commercially printed card, usually having a picture on one side and space for a short message on the other."

As far as index cards go, I can not see how it would matter if one side was lined and you use the side that is unlined. My irritation over this grows every day and I may contact an attorney to see if a class action lawsuit might be warranted. It is not about the 5 entries anymore. It is this corporation's lack of care and consideration for long time customers who have made real money deposits. It seems they think they can get away with anything and that does not fly in my book.

Are other customers still not being credited? The more information the better.
