The whole point is to battle for that extra cash and what everyone here is saying is <whining> "I don't want to battle. I want to see a flop and get lucky t flop the nuts with extra players in the pot"
You've all been accustomed to "3-bet only AAxx" and so will only raise-first-in on these splash pots with AAxx. Realize that you should be ready to raise wider and get it in wider because of that dead money, or just sit out and give that equity to those of us willing to do so.
Global Poker, please don't change the pre-flop betting in PLO
Side Note: The software is already marginal, do you really want their coders trying to change something that is actually functional?!
The splashed pot idea is fantastic.
All I'm personally saying is the play at PLO tables here are generally very loose preflop. More than a few play looser versus an open than if it were folded to them -- this is *a* player type that only finds 3-bets with AA and has the "I don't want to battle. I want to see a flop and get lucky t flop the nuts with extra players in the pot" mindset to crack AA.
These players get a bit more tight in the splashed pot just from personal viewing, but if you've seen different, then perfect.
Fair point on the software lol
Glad they introduced this regardless
