Are the soft games worth it? Are the soft games worth it?

Did Global ever offer any clarity on the whole "manual adjustment" situation? I turn 21 in a couple of months, and I live in NJ so I can play on the regulated sites. I'm beginning to think that the super-soft games aren't worth it and might switch to PokerStars when I'm 21. Do you guys think it's worth it to continue grinding on Global despite the lack of clarity? It just seems like a shady situation. Playing on Stars, I can also use a hud and track more advanced stats. No more excel sheets!

Are you winning money? Then the answer is yes. PS in the US is segregated small player pools. I'd not rush to join an online site for my state only.

The best games today are on the apps and private skins like Crash and Kings, to be honest.

Honestly it does appears they have cracked down on some people that were probably cheating. The two players I called out by name (gurts and runlikeason) I havenÂ’t seen on since people received a manual adjustment. So the best way is to say the pros and cons. It really cost nothing to try PS and see if itÂ’s for you. Below is a pro and con list for global

Pro
- Soft player pool
- Reasonable rake compared to BOL
- Ability to cash out for gift cards
- Always games running
- No Huds
- Great promotions
- No need for agents

Cons
- Not really regulated - they could shut down tomorrow and run away with funds - this is true for most poker sites
- Lots of complaints about RNG as opposed to other sites. They might just have more bad beats because the players are that bad.
- No transparency
- No way to download YOUR hand history to analyze YOUR play.
- my account was suspended ( I voluntarily suspended it) when they gave out the manual adjustments. I donÂ’t know if I was do anything but I received nothing. As I said I was fairly certain I played against 2 cheaters over the past year.

Anyways I will probably give global another shot. I have won money consistently on there in the past put quit playing after what seemed like a never ending string of bad beats. It is a fun site to play on and the players are really bad.

And the reason I am thinking of going back is the players are way worse on global compared to most other sites. I did win on the other sites. But it was definitely harder. Plus I like the No HUD aspect of things and ability to play from an IPAD.

Global is legally in every state, except Washington, and Canada aside from Quebec I believe. They're also public in Australia. If they split they'd face a barrage of criminal complaints.

I really don’t know anything about them being a legal Australian company. I don’t think they are even allowed to offer poker there despite being an Australian company.

I am always looking for soft games. Been a good strategy so far.

Oh, so I would only be playing people from NJ? Wow, I would imagine the player base is extremely small then. The more you guys say, the more I think staying on Global is the correct choice. I don't wanna be battling out with strong regs every day.

No one should play on global poker because the players are too bad

You can criticise us all you want but you will not be flaming our customers under our subforum without any legitimate evidence.

I guess don't take our word for it, do your research:

https://globalpoker.com/global-poker-legit/

"PATENT NUMBER: US 10,580,256 B2. OUR SWEEPSTAKES MODEL IS PATENTED
Yes, patented. Not ‘patent pending’; patented. It took us some sweet time and quite a pretty penny in legal expenses to get that done, proving to the United States Patent and Trademark Office that what we had presented was indeed patentable. And no, before you go asking, “So does that mean before the patent was granted Global Poker wasn’t legit?” while your patent is pending, you’re allowed to do what you do, but you aren’t necessarily protected by the law if someone else copies what you do. But we’re just giving you a bit of info. You’re welcome."

GP admin, how many months does it take to get identity verified? I'm nearing 1 month now. If you guys don't hurry up, I'll just give all my money to ACR I guess.

It shouldn't take this long, DM me Zendesk ticket ID and I'll check with the senior staff of the team responsible for handling such matters.

Manual adjustments of balances have been performed regularly to larger or smaller scale for various reasons. Almost always, a communication piece will follow the manual adjustment in a form of a personal email and all the relevant information will be there. If you are talking about the most recently discussed manual adjustments on this forum then I can only say that the communication piece that was sent out was drafted and approved by multiple business stakeholders (departments) and I cannot contribute more to the conversation at this point.

That said, I am a manager of GP's Game & Platform Integrity team and I can say that for the last 2 years since I've been here we have made a business decision and established a process to manually adjusting balances at our sole discretion of accounts negatively affected by customers who choose to cheat in our games. We have never claimed that cheating does not occur on our platform, in fact, I'll say that any game developer claiming that cheating does not occur in their multiplayer PvP games is not being honest.
We recognise these threats and we have resources to take action when we deem that action is necessary.
Customers you have mentioned in your previous post are in a good standing and we do not have any reason to suspect anything malicious in their activities. Any further accusations of cheating based on statements similar to "he has X chips at Y games must be a cheater" or "he hits every draw must be a cheater" will be seen as defamatory and will not be tolerated in a public space. If you really think someone is cheating, report "Game Integrity Issue" to us with your evidence for concern and we will investigate:

I saw the email thread and confirmed with our Senior Compliance Manager that due to our compliance requirements we cannot accept P.O. Box addresses and in order to verify customer accounts our Verifications team must obtain proof of the actual address of residence. I see that the team provided an extended list of documents that we will accept for this purpose, they will probably respond to you similarly when they will get to your ticket.

Ok, so GlobalpokerAdmin is finally admitting these most recent adjustments were due to cheating.

I was one of the players who received an adjustment, in the most recent wave. This was after I was told I didn’t play enough hands with “ItsSpork” to get anything, so I’m assuming it must’ve been some other user.

To this day, I have received no communication from Global as to what those adjustments were for. Receiving money for unknown reasons never sat right with me. Any type of heads up would’ve been greatly appreciated.

Regulation is not necessarily a pro. It just means our corrupt government gets free money besides the money they can print out of thin air. We have one of the most expensive health care systems in the world because of regulations.

I have no idea what that is.

So here is what I am going to do…..

I will make a small deposit and start playing on Global again while recording my sessions. After the session I will do a recap of the larger pots I played with the odds. I will either post the results either here or on YouTube for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

We will let the stats and video replays do the talking.

Your “stats” from a sequence of individual, short sessions will decide whether Global is rigged. Btw what -advanced stats are you going to keep?

I applaud that you're willing to do this but I'll warn you that sample size is going to matter a lot here. For reference, 10k hands will be considered by many to be very tiny. 100k is probably where you'll start to identify a trend. You'll want to keep a detailed spreadsheet with date/timestamps (so we can reference back to the unedited full session) and $EV adjusted.

I'm saying this because you will absolutely want to be able to have the data and evidence to back up your argument, no matter what you find. I hope, for your sake, that you are a winning player so that this project is not too costly but you'll probably want to recruit others to record/track sessions in a similar spreadsheet to speed the process up. It may even be beneficial to have people at various games/stakes.
