If I knew how to upload a video to this thread I would have something to show you... Until then I guess you will just have to keep an eye on our Facebook Wall tomorrow!

It's halfway through "tomorrow" right now and nothing has been posted. My mouse batteries are dying from refreshing Facebook!

Let's get some more LHE tournaments

LHE tournaments are fun as long as the structure is fast enough; you're forced to see a lot of flops and make a lot of decisions. None of those decisions are super important, but none are irrelevant either. Great game!

Edit: I suspect this won't be an especially popular request

With the success you had in this series, you should consider having at least a Sunday special for $100+9 with a 15-20K GTD. Build it an they will come and all, but I think we have enough here for it to happen with ease.

I like the idea, but I will say the Gold Coin Flops required tournaments that run on the weekends, especially the $2.5k and the $10k tend to run with overlays. I am not sure about last week for sure, but the week before I know the $2.5k did, and this even during the Eagle series. I think that added incentive to win a seat really drove up the numbers for those events.

With that said I can also admit that it could be the Gold Coin Flop requirements that are turning some players off, so that might change the numbers a bit, but I could see an overlay for a while running on a $100 buy in.

Still I would love to see it, more tournaments, more better. IMO.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I would just as soon light myself on fire than 'play poker' for funny money. Probably a host of other people that feel the same way.

I'm not sure if there has been any straight buyin MTTs that have had overlays of consequence. With their fast payout, I think they would have no issues with a 20K 100+9 R/A. They payout to fast and easy to not have players chasing that down. $200 this afternoon for a potential PayPal for $3400 tomorrow? Sure, every day of the week.

Especially the "play play money in order to play real money" tournaments are weird. When it was a freeroll that you had to play GC games to get access to, that made some sense, but now you have to play play money games in order to enter a tournament that you have to have real money on the site to play, which seems like it's just taking action away from the micros.

You could probably change the flops requirement from GC to 2NL or higher and have this work better.

I can understand that feeling completely and like I said that may be why the numbers stay low. I can just see it from both sides that management would look at the GC Tournaments and say, "Why would we offer more tournaments, these still have overlay." But the GC effect has to have some impact without a doubt.

I love that there is a small overlay in the larger buy in tournaments right now. Gotta take advantage of it while it's here, because that will be gone forever very soon.

I personally would prefer a $100-$250 deep stack freeze out tournament over a $100 cubed, with a 25k guarantee each week. This would allow satellite tournaments to have much more value.
