Agreed, it's only been less than an hour since the reconnect. I am in the same position as everyone who was in tournaments.

I have sent a message to their rep and provided them a link to this post and explained that there are quite a lot of people interested and concerned to hear what happened and how they will be reimbursed.

I expect someone to address these issues shortly on the forum.

I think its reasonable to think it may take till tomorrow afternoon before refunds are done, I'm sure that's not an easy process for a new company. What they should do, is provide communication quickly in the future, and have set guidelines on how it will be handled if (when) this happens again.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your comments.

Happy to confirm the site is back up and running now.

As per other times that this has happened in the past our support team is currently going through and remunerating effected players. Please be patient as this takes a little bit of time.

If you would like an update please email support@globalpoker.com but please be aware that there are a large number of these to go through so anything that pulls them away from remunerating players will slow down the process.

Thanks!

How do you refund for tourneys? Is it based on chip count or do all entrants get refunded?

Thanks Joey!

I would think the standard would be an ICM chop between the remaining entrants since those already busted were not affected by the site crash.

In a way, it speaks pretty well for the site that them being down for <1 hour causes panic like this. There are other sites where I swear I see someone posting about them being down every night. Probably not quite that often, but almost certainly once per week.

After just an hour or so? I think you need just a tiny bit more patience.

Thanks Joey, I understand there's a lot of players to go through. I am curious as to whether we should be sending an e-mail in order to provide some information, or whether that is available to staff and to simply give it some time.

then maybe you could/should update us here more often as opposed to how its been for the last month or so or suggesting the part i bolded above? are you back to work and off holiday now? You mentioned before that there was some confusion as to who was supposed to handle the forums when you were off for Christmas and New years, now that that's over are we back to normal or..?

After waiting several hours to see how Global Poker would be handling the server crash last night i decided to email support. This is the response i have received. Anyone else get similar response?

Hi Justin!

This is Julienne from Global Poker Support Team.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your concern.

I checked and can confirm that your game play on Weekend $1,000 Guaranteed [Rebuy] was not affected with the server issue we experienced last night. Please be informed that the incident happened around 21:00 and 22:00 EST.

As such, we are unable to accept this claim as valid and no refund will be issued to your account.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

If there is any other concern you wish to talk to us about, please feel free to contact us again and we'll be glad to assist you anytime.

Kind Regards,
Julienne

Just checking to see if any updates on how the site crash situation is being handled. I was ITM in the $1,000GTD $3.30r at that time, user name El_Camino.

nvm lol apparently there's only 9 playing, 2 paid, sick overlay! Must have started when the site was down and the guys were already reg'd.

Gl WizOfAz tid 8 left he's 2nd.
Yeah this was crazy I'm not sure how long it took the other players to realize that there was only 9 of us starting this Turney. The tournament started 29 minutes late showing it registered at 7:59 p.m. my time with only nine players. Clearly these are the ones like myself who are registered prior to the disconnect. So yes pretty large overlay with a $270 buy-in and a 1K payout pain 2 players. First place paid 650 and 2nd Place paid 350. Unfortunately the players that were registered were top notch and it was a pretty tough table. I ended up taking third place for nada. Anyway thank you for the shout out.

The "DC" thread? Only thing in there is Joey posting that they were working on the issue. I email support as he suggested and this was their direct response.
01-15-2018 , 10:54 AM
So why didn't you post it in that thread? =)

Because that thread has turned into something else completely unrelated to the topic. I am just trying to figure out how GP is going to handle this issue. If they are indeed not going to issue some type of remunerate for MTT's in progress at the time of the crash then there is a larger issue. They should at the very least pay prizes based on position at that time or better yet an ICM chop but to completely ignore it is unacceptable.

What about all the global players that don't know about 2p2 that got a response like that? Should they post in that thread too?
01-15-2018 , 11:19 AM
They aren't going to ICM chop I assume. ACR didn't even ICM chop for the first two years when they were having daily issues.

I assume refunds will be given for buy ins and that is it. Nothing we can do as US players though.
01-15-2018 , 11:24 AM
And unfortunately I assume they had never planned for this sort of thing to happen, so the response will be slow, ugh.

I was in several cash game pots at the time of the crash, and just noticed I have about $100 back in my account. So that's something.
01-15-2018 , 03:09 PM
emailed and they said they refunded me and that it was in my balance... except that it wasnt its never ez
01-15-2018 , 05:07 PM
Hmm, not even one word about refunding tourneys from last nights disconnect?
01-15-2018 , 05:58 PM
I got my refund.

I did email support to notify them that I was due a refund.. not sure if they need to be notified or if they just take care of it automatically.
01-15-2018 , 06:18 PM
Weird. Support said they credited my refund but they never did
01-15-2018 , 06:21 PM
I emailed them and got no response. Still no credit for tourneys either
