Yes, what 1longgr1nd said, all winning players leave global poker immediately.

Refund showed up in my balance.

To be fair its hard to even know if it was the right amount because they don't let us view tournaments we were in and I have the brain of a peanut. It is definitely concerning that I got an email saying the funds were credited to my account and weren't... email'd them immediately and the funds show up 2 days later. I see the site crashed again and this is really a shame bc I was looking forward to this series.

I mentioned a little love back when they were having log in issues during 10 days of the Eagle Cup. I lost leader board status and over a week of tournaments, not to mention cash games. Many players were getting "invalid password" errors. Had a thread dedicated to it but nothing ever materialized.

Cool, no response...

good to see the server held up tonight though, tomorrow night I'll feel safe playing cash games at least.

I received a refund from the disconnect from 3 days ago. I was in 3 tourneys, they were all rebuys, I rebought and had big stacks in one or two of them. Support told me that they only consider stack sizes if it were the final table. If you did a rebuy, you don't get a refund for those, and if you already busted, I'm guessing they don't refund those players, so I think they pocket the rest?

There is no where to look at transactions on the site, so hard to do any accounting.
01-17-2018 , 09:58 AM
Well that's some BS
01-17-2018 , 04:48 PM
I was in rebuys and got credited for my initial entry plus all my rebuys.

I'm under the impression that they don't pocket the unused prize pool; rather they refund everyone who was entered (even those that were KO'd) so there actually is no unused prize pool.

I can see the merits of how that would appeal to total noob players, but it's not a fair policy and I hope they reconsider it. The first step is to get them to publicly post the policy on their web page (as paying customers, we have a right to know at least).

MTTS were originally created by cash game players to bring fish into the rooms, that's actually how the wsop started and there were no blind increases they just played 1 level for days with a lotta $ up top till 1 man was left standing. Not sure why I thought that was relevant to post when I started typing but I think it's useful info here for some reason. The rooms make the most $ from cash games, mtt's and stts are somewhat "loss leaders" in the industry and treated with less respect than I feel they should be as a person who loves the mtt/stt format.

loss leader - like the drink or app special at a bar or restaurant to get people in the door, so they order more and higher profit margin items.

Going on day 3 with no response whatsoever on the 2nd night of crashes. I understand the backup but no response whatsoever is not good. Again, site crashes going into a Final Table, comes back up about 5-7 mins later and I'm missing a lot of chips from my stack and in a situation I shouldn't have been in, actually everyone at the table for that matter. I would really like some sort of response. Thanks.

I see allJackedup claims to have received all rebuys back , i had 51 dollars total in 2 tournaments and they offered 16 back total , I had 79 at the end of the night, they claim they gave 16 back so i checked account yesterday and saw i still had only 79 so i emailed them again yesterday and then today i see an email not answering any of my questions and seemingly a copy paste response. So I am curious so i go check my account to see if the 16 dollars is finally there and to my shock now I HAVE ONLY 74 DOLLARS!!! I literally missing 5 more dollars , so now i'm down 56 dollars!

I screen shot 3 times too for proof just in case they try to sneak out of this. WHERE DOES THIS EXTRA MONEY GO TO? Is this rich site literally stealing from people working minimum wage and making them money on the side? Is 1500 cases of theft equal in court to murder? or maybe i am a rare case and ill get reimbursed much more than was taken for my time and pain.

YOU MAY KNOW ME AS KnivnKlepto , I would prefer updates. I shall do the same.

I do hope that you get your money back. Having said that, "time and pain" for $51?
And no, 1500 cases of theft is not equal in court to murder.

IMO, you shouldn't have so much money on an online poker site that it would cause you "time and pain" if you lost it all.

I received back my initial buy in and rebuys worth. Sucks because I was chip leader by two buys in with about half the field left and only 5 mins or so until the first break.

Still not even a response from global support acknowledging my email on the crash.

Ya, I didn't want to bother him with a personal message I figured he has seen this post but maybe not. I will just have to message him and see if he responds to that. Thanks

Maybe you have extra thousands of dollars lying around but some people are not as rich as you.

Regardless of the amount of money...

Time and pain from the 3+ hours it has been trying to email them back and forth trying to get my money back, making accounts on forums, posting etc, along with not being able to use that money and that i was a big stack in both tournaments.

I looked it up and i see often that 3rd theft is filed as a felony, the first two being misdemeanors, so 1498 possible felonies is indeed much worse than murder with a possible minimum sentence of 1498 years.

Update: they basically told me when the site came back I finished in 8th place and got 8th place money and that is good enough... I was 4th in chips before the site crashed with 9 left, when it finally came back up I had lost chips and was forced all in the next hand due to blinds being so high. I told them they least they could do would be to refund the buy ins ($33) they closed the ticket and asked me to leave feedback... Pretty poor of them to be honest

Cearly the tournament cancellation/refund policy needs some refinement. We need Global to post the policy so we know what it is for starters.

Hi, milesaway0. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I'm as poor as a churchmouse, and $51 is a lot of money to me.

My point was that, given the tenuous nature of online poker in America, it probably isn't prudent to have so much money on a poker site that losing it all would cause financial hardship.

I have a little bit over $100 on Global, and I operate under the assumption that I might wake up tomorrow morning, and find that the DOJ has shut down Global (Black Friday II).

I wouldn't be happy losing the $100+, but it wouldn't cause me pain and suffering either. Just saying, I don't recommend having money on a poker site that you can't afford to lose.

Hope you and others get all their money back.

Hope you run good at the tables!

I just got an email from them. They refunded me $61.88 based on my stack size in the nightly 6k when the crash happened.
