If it is true that "this site only cares about money", then it is in their best interest to offer games that are enjoyed by as many people as possible. Happy customers = more $$$ for Global.

Addendum edit: As long as a company behaves in an ethical manner, isn't it generally in the best interest of the consumer if a company "only cares about money?" Some people seem to think that it is automatically a bad thing if a company "only cares about money." (Not saying that the OP thinks this.)

Good points all around. It seems we sometimes get crazy with the idea that a company wanting to earn money is a bad thing. Its not a bad thing, as long as their earning more money builds a service you want to use. Then they make more money, and you get better service. Where the problem comes in is if they make more money by providing worse services or services that are harmful. Then you know what we do? We find another company to support.

So if the rake is too high, or the SNG game structures aren't right, or the GTDs aren't high enough, or if any of the other issues you see you don't like, become bad enough; then find another business to support. Global will change its tune, because you will hit them where it counts, in their wallet.

FWIW, I don't feel that any of those issues are pushing me away... yet. I could see it happening one day, but I am not there personally.

I currently enjoy playing poker on Global. If at some point in the future I no longer enjoy the experience, I will go elsewhere. Unless they're complete idiots, I believe that the owners of Global recognize that this is the sentiment of the vast majority of their customers.

I'm upset they removed the micro standard SNGs. Maybe this will have more people playing in their tournaments.

Hi all, we are constantly reviewing our offering in both SNGs and other variants. Your feedback has been noted and is appreciated.

Will you admit that the email you sent out announcing the changes, adding to the starting stack was VERY deceitful? You drastically changed the blind structure and reduced the time for the levels, making the new sngs you introduced much higher variance. I still have the email and can post a screenshot. Sure you added a bit to the starting stack as players were asking for, but you also reduced the time for the levels and drastically changed the blind structure, and made it look like you were responding to player feebback, we are not that stupid, at least im not.

I'd like a legit sng sne type of a player to chime in here on what they did.. I see it as a statement of more unfavorable player changes to come.

copy pasted from the gp email, ill post pics if y'all need me too.. "While we do get excited by all things Eagle Cup, it's not the only thing happening at Global Poker. By popular demand, we have just made some great improvements to our STT offering:

Bigger starting stacks to allow more play time
A SC$110 tournament for those interested in higher stakes
A few Hyper-Turbo additions for those of you who love that fast paced action!

DISCOVER THE NEW STT SCHEDULE

Ya thanks a lot we really appreciate it! NOT

10/13 is the date the email was sent

Good prediction ^. Yes, "Glitchy Global" is VERY deceitful. Their changes have me playing much less. I just withdrew 1/3 of my bankroll and am exploring other options.

Ya i remember Jennifer Harman about a decade ago saying, "if a story (line) doesn't make sense they're probably bluffing so I call in those spots". My internal natural god given hud has been keeping track of what's been going on here and imo gp is trying to get away with running a 80/60 kinda game to those that know about hud stats and what that means, and ~80%+steal% lol, again imo.

bottom line, if im being forced to play games i dont like because every single stt they offer is too high variance for me to be able to stomach on GP then I guess this isn't the place for me. The only playable games imo are the 6$ and 20$ 9man non turbs, and those are borderline. The gaps in buy in levels, formats, anyone who's even trying to win or paying attention. can see whats going on here. Knowing what I do about the industry, games, player pool etc I can't imagine this bubble of GP lasting for long. The fb player pool will dry up, people will quit depositing and playing as winrates, and even the possibility or hope of winning continues diminish. IMO.

I sure hope I'm wrong, this place was awesome before 10/13, now far less than.

bovada has a casino and a sportsbook to constantly feed its degen player pool, people(recreational players) who play other games in the same client that stop by the poker room to recreate. Same with Merge, WPN, BOL, ITOPS and all the other USA facing unreglated sites which GP is, other than GP. GP only has a facebook playerpool and we have all seen how Facebook crowds have turned on a dime, just my take on things.

edit, i forgot gp isnt a poker site, its a sweeps model that looks very much like poker. What did i expect lol.
