I realize how fukken stupid this question sounds, but I have a hard time sizing raises on Global. I end up betting in whole big blinds, 1/2 pot, etc, because of the buttons. It's okay - I'm mainly a Global and live player anyway. But I see players betting 2.5X pretty often.

I would recommend clicking the amount and typing in your bet size

Thank you very much!! I can't believe I had to ask that , but yes, that is the way to do it.

click the pot button THEN click the minus symbol twice and it should be like 2.5x or near

If you mean, “why do some players open to 2.5 instead of clicking the 3x button” then the answer is probably:

Do what works, that is what results in heads up action more often than not.

I click 3x at NL100, type in 2.5 at NL 200, and type in 2.3ish on the rare occasion that I venture into deeper waters.

At micros, if 3x gets 4 callers, then click “pot” which is 3.5x. Beyond that, just git gud at multiway.
