Self imposed time-out Self imposed time-out

01-11-2022 , 07:15 PM
Hello Global poker family. I self imposed an indefinite timeout on my account. After a week I contacted support to lift my timeout. Only to find out that after an indefinite timeout, there is a "90 days cooling off period". I was not aware of this and would not have imposed an indefinite timeout. Can any admin DM and help me remove this "Cooling off" period. Thank you!

Why would you self impose a TO? You probably need the cool off period if you went through the process to do it.

Had a pretty decent cash out after a year of playing cash games. Was going through a downswing and wanted to stop myself from redepositing my earnings. Just wanted to give myself a little break, certainly not for 90 days though.

Without commenting on the specific case, these tools and processes are in place to protect players, and we don’t offer derogations or exceptions to cooling off or waiting periods.

Sounds like a bankroll management issue/lack of understanding variance, as if no way a downswing could last more than a week. You need more cash than you think, LOL, the Cash Out Curse, is real.

Spoiler:
NOT, but I do believe we have a tendency to play differently after a big cash out/win.
