Interesting thought i had while reading this thread.
Most fish tend to buy in around 25bbs to 50bbs from 50NL to 200NL. Basically they tend to be short. Running it twice may actually incentivize fish to chase draws that they normally might fold. If they know they can run it twice with a reg they might jam or call off flush/straight draws when clearly behind with little fold equity. While this won't change the EV it may actually make certain fish play worse than they normally would. Thus increasing win rates.
And regs like Poker12 not wanting to decrease variance to me seems absurd. But SnG grinders are psychos.
