+1 to this for sure. I actually cut back on my cash game play because I couldn't justify it as much with the 100 flop freeroll going go $250. And I would imagine the cash game numbers are higher during promos as well when you need to see 5000 flops or whatever for a big freeroll. It for sure incentivizes me to play.

freerolls?! seriously? $250 tourney is literally nothing. ppl are playing 3000nl, they aren't going to waste time playing a $250 freeroll. that's fine if they want to have a few freerolls, I guess they will help out the micro stakes, but they just raised the rake to higher than any other, AND give no incentives out (as of yet) except the $100 on a $5k deposit.

I've played in the $2K games (full ring) I didn't know they had $3K games. I LOVE the stupid small free rolls. Binking $500ish in the weekly free roll during the promotion while drunk off my ass was the most fun I've had in a long time in poker

I also played the freerolls yesterday for the first time. too bad for me, because I ended up losing more than I would have due to having to "finish my freeroll". anyway, what I'm saying is that I would far rather have a small deposit bonus or something rather than these freerolls.

I play on this site every day 8 hours + a day midstakes never once played a freeroll... just give us some ****ing rakeback or like prizes or something .. If i gave a casino this much money they would give me free meals, comped trips, etc.

Why don't you just go play at the casino then? I don't get the mindset of most ppl in this thread. You're benefiting from Global way more than they're benefiting from you. If they provide good games, why should they then have to offer you and incentive to play in them?

they should give some sort of reward like tiny like shop or something like a tv or like hats if you make certain levels I think it would just be a classy move on their part to acknowledge players that are dumping 20k in rake a month to them okay you know? I guess It's not that most rational argument it's just how I feel.

I'm not saying that they don't benefit from us, because they surely do. But if they were to lose you, they wouldn't notice. If you were to lose them, it would be devastating. I'd rather own one, but since i can't I'd rather have the site that i play on offer me great games.

I didn't mean for my post to come across as an attack, so i apologize if it seemed that way. It's definitely a valid point and I play very high volume as well, so i feel where you're coming from....I've probably paid $30-50k in rake. But it's my opinion that any personal benefit that i might gain from a reward system will like have consequences where the cons outweigh the pros. Give ppl rakeback based on volume? That encourages multitabling and rakeback grinding, which have a large impact on your winrate. Additionally, when you have so many players multitabling, a combination of losing more frequently and slow actions at the tables, make the playing experience for a recreational player go way down. Free swag? Wouldn't you rather have money going into marketing to draw in new players rather than receiving a t-shirt? Reload bonuses? We've seen how far will ppl go to get a free $2, imagine if it was $200. Freerolls? I like the idea of freerolls that are invite only (for losing players). Any sort of reward system should be focused on boosting the playing experience for recreational players. Because when recreational players are happy, everybody is happy.

well said, you bring up some things i didnt think about. its just so gross to look at how much money we are spending in rake.. I just assumed if people arent multitabling now they are incapable of it

I am a former 2x pokerstars supernova elite aka rakeback pro. I use to make games terrible for you guys and especially for recreational players because I only play a systematic style based on numbers and data. I didn't actually play poker, I just folded a lot and wait waited for the nuts, since even donkeys go on heaters.

You cannot beat me, but I cannot beat you either because I don't play enough pots nor did I want to. I just wanted to play Fold'em Poker, and let the games rake you guys to death so that I can get a piece of that rake back.

Heck, folding was so easy that I built a bot that would play Foldem Poker. And I started a poker farm in a 3rd world country for a short while teaching people how to fold. I didn't want them to know how to play poker, I just wanted them to fold as much as possible.

It's SO EASY to fold and get paid.

Thank goodness for Black Friday. I actually had to go to the casino and play poker. I didn't know poker was that fun.

Sure I get raked up to $50 per hands at some underground games, but anyone who cared or complained stay away, so I get access to more recreational players. More power to me.
