Engaging in a 1k bet 5 months away from now when you aren't available to tie up 1k is not reasonable.

Posting a prop bet in the forums is a reasonable way to have a public record of it. Posting a prop bet in the forums before the terms have even been discussed is not reasonable. There should have been way more private discussion first to lay out the terms.

Expecting a poker room employee to get involved in the prop bet is perhaps the dumbest and most naive thing outside of loaning money to Chino.

I guess you missed the whole part where he named the 1k stakes, asked me to find an escrow then agreed to use the escrow I found. If you don't have 1k to tie up for 5 months you probably shouldn't go around offering 5 month long 1k prop bets to people.

In Internet Poker, I'd nuke this thread from orbit. There may be a forum here that allows this kind of nonsense, but for the most part, our forums aren't meant for people to start threads to resolve their dick-measuring contests.

That said, this is Global's forum, and if they want to allow threads like this about action on their site, I'm not going to interfere. But if anyone feels strongly that it should be gone, use the aforementioned Post Report feature - perhaps Global mods aren't aware of it and would want to close or delete. What you are saying doesn't make much sense. If 1k is a small amount, it shouldn't bother you to not have access to it for 6 months. If 1k is a large amount, you should want to escrow it for safety. Personally, I would never trust any random online person with any amount of money, so if I was making a prop bet I'd always want an escrow. Random people you play poker with on a computer aren't your friends.

I don't know and have probably never played with either of these gentlemen (since I'm a nanostakes fish). I don't see BreakUBad as coming across that bad here. He accepted a challenge and is strictly following the agreed upon protocol and Gatton is mostly name calling.
