It's possible to verify these accounts with Global. Contact their support. If you don't get an answer within 72h, reach out to me here.

I accidentally used the wire transfer routing number for my redemption. The wording on the Bank of America website did not include the term ACH when describing either routing number I tried to read as much of this thread as I could. It seems this has happened to some others and I never read of any getting paid. Is this money really gone? Who physically has the money? If not, then how long am I realistically looking at to get the money back into my poker account at least?

It is not gone, but it is in limbo land due to the way the system is setup.

Wires with incorrect info get returned. The problem you have is it is returned to WP and they process for many people. When you ci tact the mensa members on the GP zen desk, you will get a canned response saying it shows that it was sent check with your bank...Your bank will ask for a tracking number and the circle of "not my fault" goes on. Not having direct access to World Pay does not help.

You need the tracking number on the wire from GP. Then physically go to your bank and sit with a manager and ask them to trace the wire. They need to call the wire room. If you deal with a clerk and explain it, they will provide you with a lot of frustration. They assume you are co fuses and just check the screen and tell you that you need to contact the sender.

The manager should call the wire room and they can say the wire was DK'd and ask for a tracking number for that. The. Give that to GP zen desk and hope you get someone cognizant to move it along.

If that all fails on a timely fashion, calling the federal reserve wireroom forbthe district this took place will get it resolved super fast. The FRB is not a fan of laziness and their incoming calls asking why money is missing is very not liked.

If you tell me the state your BOA branch is in, can probably get your the phone number to their wireroom as well as to the FRB desk for your district.

The core problem is the CS has little clue wtf theyvare doing. They have a manual and just follow the "if this, then that" flow chart they are told. Very few in the industry has a clue of wtf is going on. It's not their fault, sites are not much smarter overall. Source: 25 yrs as investment banker/hedge fund manager doing 100s of wires a week.

The refernce number in my email confirmation that redemption is approved, is that the number I give to the bank manager? Its a 6 digit number. (Im trying to track down my redmption after I gave the wrong routing number.)

Is the Trace id just your routing number plus the reference number you get in the GP email that approves the redemption? It comes to 15 digits but could be just a coincidence.

6 numbers? Seems short, they usually have a timestamp and bank ID/abs followed by transaction ID. Maybe they just gave you the end of it.

If you have a trace number, the wire went out, but if you gave wrong aba it will bounce and be returned to the sender. The problem you will have is getting all the parties to talk with each other to get it credited back to you. It will get recredited, just how soon is up for grabs.

I gave the routing number for wires. So that means zero chance it got to my bank? Ive read it can sometimes go through in that case. Monday will be business day 5 or 6 since approval.

Most banks have different ABA numbers for wire and ACH. If you gace wrong one, it will get returned. See above on how to track it down.

I'm done dealing with that aspect of it as I don't want to lose account privileges with that bank.

FYI, I also have Skrill and thought I would be able to use it, but can't utilize it because of the "Zero Balance" stuff that comes up with the bank account.

Is there a Global Representative that could instruct me how the switch to a different account (Green Dot, Chime, Capital One 360)? How do I verify the account if I don't have a bank statement and only plan on using it for Global Prize Redemptions? I'm hoping to get this figured out, otherwise I'm going to have to go back to Bovada full time.
I have been using U. S. Bank Visa Debit and bank account with no problem

For anyone else that accidentally gave the wire transfer routing number, I just thought I would let you know not to worry. GP contacted me by email in just under 2 weeks asking for my correct banking details. I have no doubts the transfer will go smoothly now that they have the correct info. Ill post the results though.

So I’m not sure what to do. At this point I’ve exchanged 20+ emails with global about a withdrawal I put in June 1st. It’s now July 10th and I still haven’t received it. They told me it was processed and my bank has it. So I then proceed to call my bank and talk to them and talk to ACH and they have no record of the withdrawal. I’ve received all my other ones but this was the last one I put in and they won’t give me any help. Anyone know what I can do to resolve this issue? I’d love to play again on global but I can’t see myself ever depositing again if they don’t fund me the money that I requested and never got. HELP!!!

just cashed really good in the summer main event, how should I go about withdrawing to not draw attention and cause issues?

I gave them wrong routing number 1st try which took about 2 weeks to resolve. Obviously GP is not to blame for that.

Lack of advice so I used my best judgment and requested increments less than $10,000. I just don't want the bank to block the deposits and wasn't sure if there's a risk in that.

Are they all for 9k ish? Someone else could answer better than I, but a bunch of transfers just under the 10k threshold is called structuring and could raise a red flag. Idk about 5 in 20 days. It could put a delay on it but it’s still your money.

Yup -- theres like a 90% chance his bank his going to flag and freeze his account.

I think you are underestimating the odds. It is almost an absolute certainty that it was flagged and an 8300 was filed. 10K is a hardline, but systematic payments also do the same.
07-21-2020 , 06:47 PM
Awesome!
They were mainly around 8000, different values though. One was around 7000.

So what do I need to disclose / tell them when they ask?

They are probably not likely to ask you anything until you file your taxes. It is more a notification for that. Since it is Global and coming through World Pay, you and the sender are both inside the law.

What it does mean is if you get slick on your tax return you are already caught.
