I picked the name a while back as a way to poke fun at all of the friends I had in 2005-2008 who would start every bad beat story with, "I have AA and I know I am going to lose, so I call pre-flop..."

So i figured a name of slow play AA was fun. But one of the sites I tried to get on, I can't remember now which one, didn't allow that many characters. So I shortened it to

splayaa

Which leads people to say to me in chat, "what up playaa" "you think you a playaa?" "you got mad nun-chuck skillz playaa?"

form university days. I needed to pick a username for something and we were studying non blocking input/output sockets at the time. So it was NIO Socket. And here we go.
