When GP adverts are plastered all over Pokernews.com and I see weekly e-mails from PN blasting ad's, yes, your statement is correct.

As soon as you go to PN, there is a pop up for GP that you must "x" off the screen. Not sure why they advertise on there vs. FB if they want to cater more to the rec crowd.

This is true to an extent. There will still be the regs that love their rakeback and love their HUD's, so they will opt to not play on GP.

Another way to make the site rec-friendly is to take the Bovada approach by removing usernames.

Bovada is an awful site in part because of removing usernames. That's not something to aspire to have IMO. The amount of cheating that probably goes on on Ignition and will never be caught because of anonymous users likely exceeds all the other sites for that simple reason.

Agree...no hand history download and anonymous this site would be a nightmare.

I would love to see some incentive for starting tables.

I would also like to add that I am completely on board with the global promotions. Poker is fun to play again thanks to you guys .

Sure there are all sorts of different regs. They are still coming and to an extent already at Global Poker. A small incentive directed towards the specific group of real money players in form of a small deposit bonus or a small bonus for raking GP a few hundred bucks isn't going to change that.



That is a negative from me on removing user names. Players get to know each other and interact, the chat between players is one of Global Pokers appealing aspects. I don't think its smart to take that away. I wouldn't be apposed to add tables at each stake with removed usernames while keeping the standard tables.

Incentive for starting tables would be great and would apply to what I am trying to accomplish in this thread.

A little off topic but how do I join your affiliate program. GP is advertised in quite a few different web sites so there has to be some program set up.

As a hyper grinder, why not allow some sort of leaderboard? The games have such a low ROI and to make any real money, some type of rb or a promotion where you run a weekly leaderboard similar to what BOL does.

Tier it based on buy-ins.

Bronze $1 -> $5.50 SnG's
Silver $5.51 -> $16.50
Gold $16.51 +

Point rewards based on how you finish. Cash prizes for top 10 players in each tier weekly. Even if it's $100 for bronze, $200 silver, $500 gold.. it still is something and will drive more recs to play anyways.

I want a promotion for the specific group of real cash players. It doesn't have to be rakeback. There are allot of other promos that would work that have already been pointed out in this thread.

I wouldn't likely compete in a rake race but if that is the promo GP decided to go with then I would be fine with that as its at least something.

So a promotion that rewards us cash players who generate rake for the site via playing with real money.

Current bonanza promotion is a bonus for active members of global poker. Meaning you can play the play money tables and get the same bonus as a person playing the real money tables get.

No it wouldn't. No reg is joining the site that wasn't going to regardless because of some sort of 10 % bonus paid either as a deposit bonus or flop bonus. But such a bonus might bring more action to the tables or more recs when they see they get something for "nothing".

What ever regs are coming are coming regardless. A small promotion or bonus for cash play isn't changing that.

Actually, you are the one who is wrong, I have noticed you keep saying that the $500 and $5000 bonanza is promoted for only people who are just active on the site ie gold coin members, this is incorrect. And essentially proves you have no idea what you're talking.

You cannot go and sit down at a gold coin game and play 50 and 500 hands and enter these events, they are very clearly marked SWEEPS CASH HANDS.
