What exactly is the playthrough? The rake or wager amount? I.E. if you deposited $100 and you have to 20x does that mean you would have to play $2,000 of buyins, or pay $2,000 in rake?

EIther way this is a completely ****ed situation. I wish a GP rep would come and chime in. I play quite a bit on there recently but don't want to contribute to such shady business practices.

I wonder if it's somehow based on your average play rate in the past. Not saying that would make sense in general, or be excusable, but it would make a weird sort of sense if they're used to you doing a 20x playthrough in a week or two usually, or something like that. I don't see any other reason to single you out for something so absurd, assuming this isn't standard for most deposits. Unless maybe you have a pattern of just making huge and/or frequent deposits/withdrawals that they're trying to add some delay in there to avoid bank troubles. Or extra fees. Or something.

Just curious, how many times have you deposited in the past 3 months? The only thing that might make a small amount of sense would be if you are frequently withdrawing your bankroll and redepositing, causing them to pay more in fees and this is their way of trying to get you to leave more on the site. But if that was the case, I'd hope they could just send you an email and explain the situation instead of making you play-through such a large amount.

Barely deposited or withdrawn at all; haven't had time to play. My guess is that this is punishment for slowing down my volume for the last number of months, and that the goal is to force me to put in more volume.

This is so strange and very unethical considering you shouldn't be forced to play x amount before you can withdraw. I've never heard of anything like this in my life. I recently had a cash out cancelled because of lack of playthrough. Funny tho all my prior withdrawals I had no issue with and those were all within the last month. My deposit was only $25 and I know I have played atleast 2 or 3 times that amount since the deposit. I replied to the email of the cancelled cash out so I am awaiting to find out what exactly my playthrough amount is.

Apparently they only take in to account your play from when u deposited to when u requested the withdrawal. Any play after the withdrawal request to when they actually approve or deny the cashout isn't included. They told me I was allowed to cashout since when my withdrawal to the present I had played enough.

2. If you actually read my posts, you would find out that while overall I enjoy GP very much, I have also been critical on ocassion. I've even commented that in my almost ten years of playing poker online, I feel like there seem to be far more improbable runouts on Global than on any other site I've played on. I also point out that that is just my "impression" and I 'm not claiming a rigged/faulty RNG exists on GP.

Excellent question -Can the Global rep please confirm how much rake a player has to generate before attempting a withdrawal. Ie If I deposit a $100.00 do I need to generate $200.00 in rake or $2000.00 in rake before attempting a withdrawal?

It will vary (for seemingly no reason). Therefore, be prepared to deposit iff you are willing to accept the possibility that you'll have to play $2000 through.

Is it that high on other online poker sites, what is the norm?

As I understand it, max is usually 1x.
