I don't get bothered by it either, but I made this thread because of the reasons I mentioned in the original post.

After thinking about it for a little bit, I'm not so sure the thread should be deleted. If it is, I fear innocent blood will be on our hands when the things happened which I mentioned (wife beating, road rage etc.). I really think this thread could go a long way into shaming and ostracizing those who deserve it. And while I agree that witch hunts are bad, there is likely nearly unanimous consensus that these people do not belong in civilized society at the moment, so it is hardly subjective...

I can't speak for other people, but for me it's always been about simply losing at a competitive game and it doesn't carry over into the rest of my life. I've chat tilted as hard as anybody else (was infamous for it on Stars in the day) and I've never beaten anybody up and I don't get road rage. In fact, I'm basically always super polite and nice to people in real life.

It's a psychological/self-esteem thing where losing triggers my inferiority complex and the anger I feel towards myself spills over and gets directed at other people. Taking antidepressants have helped but haven't totally cured it, as you know from that one time I freaked out at you in chat.

I don't know what percentage of hardcore tilt chatters have my issue, but I don't think I deserve to be ostracized for it.

If anything, this proves my point. I don't support ostracizing you for the exact reasons that you mentioned: you seeked professional help, apologized for behavior that was inappropriate, and rectified the problem by muting your chat. However, the individuals I named have not, to the best of my knowledge, taken similar steps, and that is what I am trying to get them to do.

Personally, I'm ****ing mad & I feel like I've been wronged here. I've put in numerous hours back in the day letting JaredPoker know at every cash game we sit that he's a sick nit & I don't even get a mention in the thread? This forum is so unfair it's ludicrous. Go to hell JaredPoker!

I will take a compromise position and won't delete the thread but I will close it.
