We have been lied to over and over and over by Global. Joey is mostly certainly not clean in this LOL.... but I give him a semi pass on this because 1. He is a company man and you have to follow the company line if you want to keep your job. AND 2. Him and Kim are actually helping people. So I thank them for it (not for lies Joey but for helping people). And you two helping people is pretty much the last and only reason right now I have not withdrawn my whole roll from the site.

Adding small crypto deposits and wd options and or enabling small player transfer limits is the best course of action. Submitting bank information / opening yourself up for theft/fraud for a measly little cash out is not attractive to regs and recs alike.

I'm also extremely surprised there aren't live agents/brokers/affiliates that can facilitate cash outs and wds in person just like the poker app sites.

RIP Global. Was definitely a fun ride worth about 10k for me.

Joey, in this post you very specifically said that a GP rep's claim that paypal will be removed was wrong, and that that rep would be "dealt with".

This is absurd. You're insulting everyone's intelligence.

You know, once I saw that people were safely cashing out with WorldPay, I went back to playing on their website, even though the SOLE reason I signed up was PayPal (I use it for everything). Ultimately, I do like the service they provide.

HOWEVER, the email from today that I received, quoted earlier in this thread, was the exact wrong tone to take. To try to paint this whole situation as "listening" to the user base and adding more payment options for the benefit of all of us is just absurd.

"An important part of running a business is listening to you, the customer. Countless players have told us that they want more options when it comes to payments."

So we have decided to remove the quickest and easiest method of payment, and actually limit the total amounts of payment methods (since PayPal allows you to make deposits with many more options than WorldPay).

They should have said something to the effect of, "Unfortunately, due to business reasons, we have been forced to remove PayPal as a deposit / withdrawal method. We understand this method of making deposits and withdrawing winnings was valued by many of our customers, and are committed to replacing PayPal with a safe method of transferring funds. We will work with you as we transition to WorldPay deposits and withdrawals, and will continue to listen to make your user experience as painless as possible."

Even then, there is no transparency as why the payment method switched, but it shows they are listening to their user base. Come on Global Poker, everyone knows that this decision is causing the site to lose users and lose trust of its active players; why lie to a smart audience and try to convince them that this is actually better for everyone?

Just don't lie to us. Tell us the truth.

Half of this is true for me. Games are indeed good.

I would consider people not getting paid and receiving no reassurance or information about anything to do with their withdrawl is reason to voice some concerns, no?

My credit card I used to deposit was froze after making a deposit here. First time I've ever had that happen to me in my 10 years of having this card. All over a $20 deposit. This is so much better than paypal. Good times indeed.

So now that easy cash outs and a new influx of fish are gone can we either a) have lower rake, b) get better software, or c) some combination of both?

Would really love my Payout at this point. Just called my bank. They see no incoming ach deposit and no declined deposits. Requested 6/11 and 6/17. Would love a Paypal deposit.

Approved since 6/13 ( Almost 2 weeks ago - a Wednesday )

Snap withdrawing 100% of my roll although I suspect I'll never see it. I was honestly surprised it lasted this long. I have 20k on there right now (have been trying to get a 7k withdrawal approved for a week). UB/AP all over again.

I've been a long time lurker, but I actually made an account to make this comment. I've played on Global a bit and just started at the beginning of this month. I'm curious what the problem is with World Pay specifically that people are expressing? I looked into the company and it is London based, traded on the exchanges, is a 5 billion a year revenue concern and is owned in part by Bain Capital. I don't see a problem with them in terms of credibility or standing in the international payment processing community.

As long as the payments go through and most importantly the withdrawals go through, I don't see a problem. The company seems to be legitimate as far as I can see. If someone has other information, please share.

Banks can be kind of weird sometimes. I made a purchase on Steam last week and it flagged it - and I occasionally buy off of Steam. Sometimes CC companies and banks get weird about things. Some things are auto flags and they can be overly protective because of data and identity theft - even when there is none.

I haven't tried to withdraw yet, so I can't speak to that.

Literally no one has been paid by any other method than paypal. I'm over a week on a pending withdrawal. Until people start seeing money in their bank by any other method than paypal we can assume our money is frozen and we many never see it again in a timely manner.

Huh, I just looked through it and didn't see any. I must have missed the one that did. I still have doubts until I see it in my account.

Lol, there's also a pile of people who got verified and approved for cashouts a day after my identity/banking and withdrawal approval and have received their withdrawals. I'm not sure what assurance we have that these people are real and not a bunch of shill accounts. There's plenty of people waiting 10+ days for cashouts and I'm going on 5 business days already.

If you guys don't get this under control, you will lose a pile of business... Oh wait, I'm sorry; 'sweepstakes participants'

Are you not able to read or are you just a liar, or both?

WP withdrawal #1:
6/14 - send bank info
6/16 - bank info accepted

6/18 - request cash out
6/18 - cash out approved
6/22 - money in bank

WP withdrawal #2
6/23 - request cash out
6/23 - cash out approved
6/26 - money in bank

Plenty of other people have received withdrawals but I guess if you're illiterate you wouldn't know.

I mean seriously what were you basing your comment on?

Imagining 20k being frozen there. That’s worth more than 2 year of my college’s tuition.

Why don't we just get Peter Thiel on board?
06-27-2018 , 01:23 AM
Wow, wait guys...

Are you telling me that the company who went through great lengths to refuse basic player data and stats to players might be lying to us??

Wow!

What a novel ****ing concept. If only like 1000 of us would have been here warning something was wrong with this stite for months.

Global used the same type of bull**** reasoning to keep from offering better access to hand histories, personal stats, refusing HUDs, etc.

"The players don't want it."

Uh huh. Just like the players "don't want" Paypal now huh?

Gtfo.

It's not about HUDs. It's about this company lying to its customers about why they refused to allow basic access to personal stats, hand histories, etc.

I made money at Global. I get it. Winning is fun. But when you can't see past your next session, this is what happens.

Anyone surprised? Really?
