This of course doesn't solve any problems (and it may make others uneasy) but there also isn't a way to hold up Full Tilt and others, and compare them.
This is different, that is why it worked in the first place.
If this was a straight deposit money and play poker site like back in the old days, Paypal wouldn't have let a cent get to it in the first place.

However, I don't think it would excuse them from letting us know, "Hey, we're a gigantic rake machine and while PayPal took $7 million from us, we still will be paying redemptions in a timely manner. Hang with us please!"
But that would have caused everyone to jump boat at once instead of one by one.
EDIT: Also, I didn't even mention segregation, just liquidity. If their liquidity is in jeopardy, it affects people on the site that are playing per their TOS, and expect to be able to redeem their prizes. That would be them not holding up their end of the deal.
