Official - No Longer Offering PayPal June 26th 2018 Official - No Longer Offering PayPal June 26th 2018

Hello xxxxxxxxxx,

We are writing to inform you that from 30 June 2018, Global Poker will no longer offer PayPal.
An important part of running a business is listening to you, the customer. Countless players have told us that they want more options when it comes to payments. Therefore, we have introduced a new and simplified payment system where you can use your Visa and Mastercard directly on the site. Very soon you will also be able to use more cards, such as American Express.

We are always mindful of delivering great services to our customers and giving you choice. For that reason Global Poker has made it a top priority to bring on additional payment partners to ensure our customers have choice. We look forward to announcing new payment partners and methods in the coming months.

For cashout of prizes going forward, we are utilising fast payments directly to a bank account of your choice.

Everything else remains the same at Global Poker. We still have the same great games, fun and service.

See you at the tables,

The Global Poker Team

Everything about that ****ing email is a lie. Fast payments that take 3x longer or more?

**** them. Lied the entire time about this. I have people that cannot get money off the site this way. I will file complaints and make file numbers available for NY and Ca once they are established if anyone needs to join.

They lied to us the ENTIRE TIME about getting the OK from paypal. Just can't trust them anymore.

I notice this is the only US facing site that uses a .com. Can’t this domain be seized by the DOJ if they disagree with the legality of this? Isn’t them processing payments through the banking system just guaranteed to bring more attention to them than before?

The Paypal TOS are very clear, I don't understand how Global got away with this for this long

PayPal knew and it went through the approval process. The swap, lies, exposure of personal banking data, and substantial change in how money is moved that may not be an option for players effectively becomes theft.

They openly solicited US players. US players are protected by DOJ and it's branches. In my business, we have dealt with both the NY and Ca AG office. I will be reaching out to them to ask them to open a case and look into any wrong doing. The people involved are in extradition countries. They can easily be charged and brought to the US.

Countless players have told Global they want more options? I don't know if i've seen anybody in the various forum threads every ask for other payment options, except ppl whose paypal accounts were banned.

So prior to this change, anybody could use their Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card to deposit on Paypal. Now they can only use Visa and Mastercard through Worldpay. How is that giving players more options?

By Global sending out that email, it clearly implies that they are still using Paypal up until June 30th. Does this mean there is a way to make a final withdraw with Paypal before that deadline?

Really now... so how is GP in this situation at all if they got approval?

I have NEVER had a problem depositing OR withdrawing. Why would you file a complaint? Your a loser and disgruntled??
If you know people that can't get money off I'm guessing it's because they have questionable accounts.
And before you respond - please explain why I have had ZERO issues in all the time I've played on Global or with PayPal????

"For cashout of prizes going forward, we are utilizing fast payments directly to a bank account of your choice."

Only if you were in the small % of accounts not selected for the "trial". They literally made up the "trial" so people couldnt get a last WD through paypal. Now their saying its a June 30th date when they've already moved over the majority of customers.

I haven't a clue. I run a hedge fund. We considered investing in them two winters ago. There is no question that everything checked out. None.

What changed? No idea.

The part that says I can't use paypal after June 30th, when I haven't been able to use it for two weeks.

First paragraph...lol, no.

Second paragraph...two people have tax liens that prevent them from having a bank account. That is neither questionable or shady. I'm sorry if your life experience is so small that you aren't aware of things that can arise that are an encumbrance.

Third paragraph....so? Neither have I. I have $3 K in accounts that cannot withdraw it at this time. They lied throughout this entire change. I have had issues with PayPal in the past in couple business accounts, more than once. We were shut on the spot and they would not stop with inquiries when we tried to open a different business.

Like I said, The lack of real world exposure is your issue. Bragging about it makes you an immature clown. Your reading comprehension is not much more expansive. I said it was my money. Before you embarrass yourself further with some childish retort to that, there are several WSOP bracelet winners that are or have been flat broke. There are others with huge IRS issues. It doesn't negate the fact that they are good/winning poker players.

It isn't funny your lack of experience; it is sad.

The Rep here on Global should be removed as he lied this entire time. Claiming it would be another source of deposit and withdrawl. He lied to everyone. It is such a damn shame.

OK Mr. Hedge Fund - this will be my last response on this subject. First off you have absolutely no clue as to my "real" world experience. I never bragged about anything. Secondly I never said anything about good/winning poker or bracelet winners - I simply stated degenerates should not partake unless their sheet is in order.
And to be honest I could care less about what you think because you're never going to accept the fact that anything but your opine is right.
Good day sir.

So we’re finally on the same team now . This exact email is what I said was going to happen a few weeks back before they even went to WP. PayPal questioned me for almost two months (numerous parties) about nature of withdrawals. Then they started defending PayPal disputes by sending fake shipping tracking info and you knew it was a wrap. There was no partnership. There was a business who snuck through the backdoor and went undetected until likely their volume increased as well as disputes.

Glad to see you’re fighting the good fight now.

Or how about a much simpler explanation: GP lied to Paypal about their business, like GP lied to us.

I don;t know what or how things changed. I do know, 100% certain, that they did not sneak into PayPal or their business was unknown. We have a file, albeit a year old, with paperwork that confirms it from PayPal's side.

Something changed and that is not the end of the world. Masking it, lying about it, having dip**** customer service reps say it is no problem to have your money unreachable but safely held in VGW's interest bearing account, faux excitement in emails, and then more outright lies in the email I got this morning and in the OP is completely wrong.

Changing their agreement is their right. Keeping monies and not allowing even one person to get it back is illegal.

With the volume they ran through their account? No way that is hidden or goes uninvestigated by PayPal. PayPal is an online bank. They are subject to the banking regulations. Their legal department would never miss something like this, as far as size. They shutter you with no notice.

No question GP has lied in their emails and this sub-forum. The reps could be empty messengers, though. We had a PR/IR contract with a company that ended up being a sham years ago. They even fabricated resumes of the executives and had someone at Penn State vouch for the CEO's reputation.

I wasn't part of the "trial" UNTIL I finished second in a tourney ($1k) and tried to cashout. I had checked it literally right before I started the tournament.
