Onkuat got an email stating that my option is US Visa or MasterCard. One, it's obvious since US banks are able to work directly with Global that it is completely legal. Two, it's a fn disaster that decide which one option you can use. Opportunity for comment is linked in their email. I will definitely share a direct comment with them.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your feedback in this thread. It is appreciated and has been noted.

There are a few things I would like to address.

1) Yes, you will notice that emails re payment now include feedback forms. This was something that was added today in response to this thread. We want your views. If you have anything you would like to say we urge you to do so.

2) As metioned, you can now use Mastercard and Visa to make Gold Coin purchases. This is a huge positive and is great news as these are products that most customers have access to

3) I see a few people have mentioned getting charged a service fee of 1%. This is the first I have heard of this. If this has happened to you can you please send me a screen shot via PM and I will look into this for you.

Thanks for your support and understanding

Joey, why is your company forcing people to test these options? Pretty ridiculous to do this. Just offer an incentive to try them to start or is your company really this money hungry?
06-12-2018 , 07:21 AM
Yeah i just got the email for being selected for the trial for visa/mastercard.

It says "You have been selected to try this new feature and from now on you will only be able to make purchases through Mastercard or Visa."

I'm hoping i can still cashout with paypal and this is just opening up another option. Pretty lame if I cant use paypal anymore and I've got to connect my bank to a pokersite.

Just got an email...

it's a f'n disaster that THEY decide......

OP (waterb) just said in another thread he just recieved his withdraw in PayPal. It seems this thing is pretty complex.

I also got the Visa and Mastercard "you have been selected and can only use" email, which I find funny. As I have never bought Gold Coins in the past, and I am not sure why I would start now.

However, I don't see any language saying I can only withdraw from WorldPay. I wonder if multiple messages are getting mixed on both the player and the Global end of things here.

I don't support or understand this bull****. For a company that deals with the public, whoever is handling PR/IR must be someone that was stillborn.

You don't test out new ideas by deciding which people are going to be doing it without their consent. It is marketing 101 ffs. What should have been done is a mass emailing to every player offering them XXX for being one of the first to try out new method or concept. What if someone didn't have a credit card or doesn't want it used for this now that your brain trust decided can only use a credit card? How about someone with a bank issue?

Don't send out an email like it is some sort of exciting development and I've been assigned it whether I like it or not. It's f'n lame and a stupid way of going about this. Whoever came up with this brainfart should be removed from the company immediately.

the paypal was the best not happy about world pay very sad about this if it not broke dont fix it
06-12-2018 , 08:08 AM
Got the same email today. They keep saying things like "As mentioned, you can now use Mastercard and Visa to make Gold Coin purchases."

SO WHAT. You can use your Visa or Mastercard with Paypal.

I'm pretty upset because they made it seem like they are "adding" a new payment processor which would have been great...but instead they try and pull one over. It really makes me think they are having issues with Paypal.

I am beyond livid over this bull****!!! This is absolutely a joke and the most unprofessional thing they’ve done so far. I made a cashout yesterday on 6-11 at approximately 10am Central Time. I did not get the email about being selected for this bull**** trial until this morning. So is my current cashout going to be sent to PayPal? It really better because I never woulda have consented to this!! This is seriously unreal, how could they think this is okay!?!?

It's not anpanic or end of times thing, it's a classless thing to do. Send out a congratulatory email about a new option that you've been 'selected' to participate in. The verbiage should read....we are adding new cashier options and you are now assigned to this one and this one only. We need to test these out and the inconvenience you experience you may share using the comment link provided.

They added it for their study, the people they've assigned to it have not gained anything, they still have a single option.

The fact that US banks allow direct transactions shows that it is legal and crushes the haters dream of it being shutdown anytime soon. Although, there will be some that are so lost that they will claim that the banks, like PayPal, don't know what's going on, a three stooges rationale in one person. The fact that they have assigned new options to others is both inorant and classless from a customer service aspect. They didn't even have the wherewithal to mass email people and let them know or offer an 'opt out'. The whole concept was formulated by someone with an extra chromosome or three.

Wtf I see world pay is the only option for putting money on now. What about taking money off? Are we forced to use world pay also? I never got an email saying I have been switched.

WRONG.

Adding a payment method may be a positive, but forcing certain players to "beta test" it by removing their option to use paypal is another.

I too have had worldpay forced on my account and no longer can deposit with paypal. I'm outraged. You offer it to people for beta testing, not force it on them. WTF is wrong with your braintrust?

A poster said they probably did this because no one would use it with paypal being so easy. BULL****. If that was the thought process, then you offer it to people with an incentive to use it. Hey we'll add $5 sweeps to your next purchase of $20 or more via WP as a thank you for helping us beta test it. You'll get ample beta testing AND happy customers, win/win.

I agree with a dewd, whoever's decision this was to force customers to beta test this should be fired, or at least removed as far from customer relations as possible.

Sorry Joey, I know you're just the messenger here, but I'm outraged. I like Global enough that I've been accused of sometimes being a global shill (LUL), but I call it like I see it... I've been critical of things I view as problems with Global before but this may take the cake. Outrageous.

Just got the same email. Don't want to connect my bank to a pokerstite. i want to use Paypal. I don't want to use Worldpay or whatever (although it's nice to have another option but I sure as hell don't want to be forced to use it).

THEY must be having problems with paypal.

going to be downloading Ignition today haven't played it since they were Bovada.

No, PayPal is ruthless. They would close a company down on the spot with no notice.

Paypal has credit and debit cards

That's true, I have one. The bigger picture is the banking system is accepting it. If in violation UIGEA, banks lose their license/charter. The fact that they will process Global transactions is a plus. How Global is going about doing this is a disaster.

I used my PayPal card to deposit in the past. I find the assignment of what process I can use to be irritating as hell.

Anything is possible, but PayPal's history is one of massive IDGAF-ness. If they had an issue with VGW, I'd think it would be liquidating transactions only.
06-12-2018 , 11:14 AM
The email states that they've listened to suggestions of their players, yet we are being forced to use a method that we don't want to use. But amid the sea of glitches that don't get addressed, at least they've added crazy pineapple and a new tournament series to frustrate players all over again. Joey, this is pathetic.
06-12-2018 , 11:31 AM
Just because they accept Visa/MasterCard doesn’t mean banks are on board. You can use your Visa on Bovada and it’ll work. They’re just masking the transactions. Be careful as your bank can close your account if they’re suspicious.

Very interesting read on paypals history, http://www.screw-paypal.com/history.html

It seems like the investors of Paypal were very libertarian, dewd? It seems to be legal through this loophole, is it possible that paypal did not like this and told GP to find someone else for your transactions?

No, I agree with you, i dont think GP will or is going to tell us there reasoning for this, I actually think it would be better for them to be honest with us, the more honest they are with there customers, the more people will trust and respect them, ofcorse they will not do this and go the route of BS pr its great blah blah blah route.
