I made a WD yesterday and just got a email an hour ago saying they processed it and will be in my PayPal in 24-48 hours.

Alright thank you, does worldpay mean players outside of the US will be able to play on GP now? Still new to online poker, also wont a influx of bots infest the site if that happens?

Bring em all on. Foreign money is as good as American money is to me.

They've had UK players for a while, not sure if this means anything on that aspect. One thing it could be about is the agreement with PayPal where they pay no fee maybe ending and they're looking for other options. I get that they want to add options; I just think it's really grimey to decide what players are going to be their guinea pigs and then remove the PayPal option.

What if there is an issue for a player they've decided is their test dummy? Maybe they are getting a discount for bringing in a massive amount of new accounts to WorldPay, just wrong to give a player no choice. Some people may play at Global our because of the PayPal feature.

FWIW - I just withdrew 2 days ago. Money arrived no problem via Paypal. I had no option to choose which method along the way. Cash out amount was just under 5 figures.

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but no PayPal will drastically cut down the amount of new recreational players. PayPal makes life so easy for people to add and remove money. Most new recreational players won’t even bother and keep not playing online poker as they have already been doing.

I was forced into this too. I asked them to change my account back to use PayPal again and they said they couldn't during the trial period. I ended up making a $20 purchase with worldpay. When the transaction cleared my account today it was for $20.20, not 20. Sent an email to support for an explanation. As a recreational player, this certainly affects my future playing on this site(which I have enjoyed up until now)

I doubt who they picked for worldpay trials are random. It is perfect opp for Global to vet out accounts they have marked as susupicious for one reason or the other.

And for those concerned about bot infiltration, bots are already all over global, and have been for some time. The site isnt going anywhere yet, you will be able to play deposit and withdraw money just fine. But the game is going to become easier for foreign players to get their money out.. Nature of our gray area poker

I really don't like the sound of this…

Removing PayPal as an option, or not letting some players use PayPal as an option would be a terribly stupid move by Global.

And then perhaps waterb doesn't deposit at all, or takes all his money out, and the player pool gets smaller.

**** off ruetama
Just to be clear. I give no ****s about the " 8k Crusher "
My post was simply stating that Globals relationship with PP isnt looking good.

this is the worst move GP has ever made and thats saying something, this willl destroy the field of fish, with the rake being horrendous and the only reason anyone plays here is for the quick payouts and soft fields this site is ****ed

The guy has said like 5 times that they have no plans to eliminate PayPal as an option for anyone, and that they're forcing this WorldPay option to certain players as a trial, probably because nobody would use it otherwise as PayPal is so easy.

Maybe ask us 1st. Maybe add a tourney ticket or an incentive for people choosing worldpay. Your nuts to think they aren't trying to get out of PP. No one was upset about using PayPal....that is the reason we played there. Easy deposit and withdrawals

They should have asked first and offered incentive. There is zero reason or logic for them to want to stop with PayPal. It's a sweetheart deal and generates a ton of money for PayPal, too. It isn't really how PayPal works with their bigger accounts.

Anything is possible, but that doesn't really make sense. Telling someone that they are now a crash test dummy is exceedingly poor customer service and. PR nightmare.

Agree, I don't think the players are being selected at random.

Its definitely not suspicious accounts. Makes zero sense. But maybe winning players? People who cash out on the reg? I have no clue but I'm angry and sad today.

I read those posts. However, it is possible that Global told their rep one thing, and eventually they end up doing something else. They can essentially do what they want, right?
06-11-2018 , 09:34 PM
I don't really consider myself a "winning " player, but I usually was withdrawing to keep my balance low, as I play the micros so I don't need much, and can just deposit a few bucks if I go busto. I definitely don't have purchase/withdrawal options right now, but just a single one that I don't want to use, which apparently charges a 1% charge on transactions through this payment method. Don't think I'll make another deposit if I lose this one, and I certainly question the withdrawal process through them
06-11-2018 , 09:41 PM
It's most definitely possible that they're having problems with PayPal, I was just responding to the people who said "and now they're taking PayPal away!"

Yippee, got the email I've been forced to use worldpay as well. So lame.
