wow. this is a perfect example of why a lot of people don't trust the sites. this guy "lagtight"'s work-around should be plastered everywhere, in order to help the players. or, of course, the code should just be fixed. the site just ignores it thought. most likely they are farming out their coding to one dude in india or something.

Not likely. They go the browser route because it is cross platform (works on the phone).

The probably outsourced to one of those freelance job sites. Someone then probably put together a team. Project was delivered (i actually think who ever did the original coding did a fairly decent job). Now they're probably having issues getting the original people to fix things. And if the original people didn't document/comment on their code ... it can be a nightmare for someone else to fix it.

Yeah, played for a couple hours tonight and finally have sound again thanks to fax.

Just to recap:
Global never acknowledged the problem in any way on 2+2.
The "fix" from Global customer support doesn't actually work.
The actual javascript bug was found (and a workaround provided) by a regular user.
Even with the problem identified, it still isn't fixed on the site.

However: We now have play money crazy pineapple tables!

Outsourcing all of their coding to a single dude in India seems pretty accurate. Global is a skin from Nitrogen Poker, or whatever, so it's not like they have done an insurmountable amount of work to this point.

It will be nice when other groups figure out how to exploit the PayPal loophole and help force Global Poker's hand to compete or disappear.
