Nitrogen poker same as global poker? Nitrogen poker same as global poker?

04-09-2018 , 06:56 PM
I saw someone on twitch today streaming from a site called Nitrogen poker and it looks like it is an all Bitcoin site. The table looked exactly like global, sounds , cards , everything, it was just a different looking table skin and it said nitrogen poker on it. Is global sharing a player pool with this site, or is it a different site that just uses the same software ?

Nitrogen Poker is a division of Nitrogen Sports, a leading BTC sportsbook. The poker room opened in 2014. It uses software from Cubeia, the same firm that supplies the Global Poker software.

The two sites are completely separate and do not share player traffic. Nitrogen's player pool is much smaller than Global's, but it's pretty soft. Also, Nitrogen has a loyalty program that offers free bets and mBTC credits for high-raking players.

@PeanutButterOG what's your experience playing there? And can anyone tell me how the rake relates to USD?

It says all amounts are in BTC. The BTC rate above is 4.78 and I suppose 1.4 cap at NLHE/PLO100-200 is 1.4*4.78 then, but still unclear what the relation with USD is.. Any help is appreciated!

Who cares what the rake is in terms of USD? That won't help you at all, unless you want to know what the stakes are in terms of USD.

From what I can tell the smallest stakes on that page is 50|100 USD, lol. I'm guessing it was made when bitcoin was not worth very much and never adjusted.

The rake for the lowest stake is 4% up to 7.5BB, which is insanely good micro rake if that stake was originally micro stakes. The industry standard for micros is 5% uncapped, I believe.

That page says stakes are represented as BTC, but I'm pretty sure it's mBTC.

That would make much more sense. In that case the rake is exceptionally low.

That's what I'm after indeed. The mBTC makes sense and after last night the rake is probably very low as are the stakes ;-) lol. Thanks!

Sounds like good questions for a thread in the Internet Poker forum, rather than Global Poker.
