WTF - to get any sweeps cashouts you now need to send in a postcard....screw that will never play that way to cash out!

It doesn't say that. I believe what that link is saying is thats for free sweeps coins you need to send in a post card but has nothing to do with cashouts. This is the same rules as before for cashouts. Not sure how you believe you need to send in a postcard for a cash out.

6.2. Where a Participant has chosen to redeem prizes for cash, the cash payment will be paid in USD to the financial account or online wallet
from which you purchased Gold Coins, or if this is not technically possible, then to an alternative bank account you nominate.
Sponsor/Promoter reserves the right to require the use of the same payment method for redemption of prizes as was used to purchase Gold
Coins, or a specific payment method at Sponsor/Promoter's discretion.

should we worried?

It says that these rules go into effect on May 31st, 2020. My question is, will they honor Sweeps by Mail Requests that have been sent in the old way and postmarked before May 31st, 2020 that were mailed before the guidelines were updated? David Lyons, can you confirm?

Anyone care to explain what this means?

''In addition, in the case of a Canadian eligible winner, he/she
will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid to be administered at a pre-
arranged mutually convenient time.''

I just dropped off a bunch last night but they won't go out until Monday I really hope they are honored.

I'd sure hope so. We couldn't have predicted the future on this. I'd hope at a minimum they accept any envelopes postmarked prior to May 31st (I'd think they have to since they complied with previous sweeps rules).

David, please confirm how Global will handle this?

Thank you

Been like that since the site started - have to answer a skill-testing math question every time you withdraw (eg., 2+2*8/4=?).

there are actually people out there who do the "mail in sweeps" option for depositing? is this the year 1890 ?

Good news for those who have sent some in but have not yet received credit. I got this information from Global Support earlier today. Hopefully this holds true.

"We appreciate your time to contact us regarding your concern.

Yes, envelopes postmarked before May 31, 2020 will not be affected."

seems like these new sweeps rules could be considered "burdensome" which would make them have to change back to something like what it used to be if it were challenged by a lawyer imo.
06-01-2020 , 12:39 AM
It's not burdensome. It's a common practice in sweepstakes industry to require an index card in the envelope. It will discourage most people from sending in letters as it takes a lot more time though which is good as less money would have to be given out and maybe Global can offer better promotions.
06-01-2020 , 10:39 AM
it is burdensome, the index card with some info is fine but its burdensome to write out a paragraph and declare that youre acceptin terms and conditions which you already accept just by participating. i think a lawyer can force them to change it back or make it easier 100%. its why theyve changed their sweeps rules so many times because people challenge the legitimacy of the method of entry. theres very clear wording in sweepstakes law when it comes to sweepstakes or illegal lotteries. You cant make someone do something they normally wouldnt do to fill out a postal entry. aka write out that you accept the terms of service youve already accepted. gotta read it like a lawyer.

I put mine in the mail over the weekend, but they didn't get picked up until today. I hope envelopes dated 6/1/20 that follow the old rules are credited. Please confirm that there will be some leniency.

According to support, they would have to postmarked BEFORE 05/31/20 to be valid.

Support told me that envelopes with May 2020 on the front that were dropped over this past weekend and stamped Monday would be accepted. They did ask for any further to follow new process.

This is absolutely wrong. They can make you jump through all kinds of hoops, like participate in a survey or write a 2 page letter explaining why Kraft cheese is the best. As long as you aren't required to purchase something to participate, filling out a post card is legal.

Cool, hopefully they follow that then instead of the "postmarked before May 31st" as what you heard is better for those who have sent them the old ones out last minute.

Before I got banned from global I used to always wonder why the games were so great. I would say to people its the best site on the internet no site is anywhere near this soft. "Its free money the games are so good best in the world." Now come to find out through all these threads I was actually winning free money.

No, its not. Theres a caveat to all US sweepstakes law regarding PMOE (Postal Method Of Entry) that the entry process can not be unduly burdensome. Like writing a 2 page essay on why Kraft cheese is the best. That would be unduly burdensome and in the eyes of the law they would then be classified as an illegal lottery instead of a sweepstakes contest. Its a grey but thin line they have to toe here. They have to offer this in order to be legal but they cant make it too difficult/unduly burdensome for people to enter.

A few sentences is hardly burdensome. There is a USPS requirement to not send empty envelopes. My stay at home aunt was crazy into sweepstakes in her free time. That's where I got the Kraft cheese example. There are tons of examples.

I don't ever see how to obtain these free daily bonuses when i log in and follow the directions. Any ideas why not? How much is the daily bonus usually for those that can receive them?

You should be able to see the bonus when you go to “Get Coins” and scroll to the bottom. The bonuses start at .25 and goes as high as $1 after a seven day streak and then resets.

Thanks but the 2k buyin worth of chips is the last thing I see when I scroll to the bottom never have had the free bonuses show up. I only log in from my phone don't know if that's the issue or not everyone has the free bonuses option.
