Kinda tough to argue that Bobo is not a good guy

Ok, you guys sitting here waiving big flags saying that Global is doing something shady, working with Paypal is a serious problem, 2+2shouldnt support Global yada yada. Just hold your horses for a second and lets look at a couple key facts presented.

1. Paypal has closed the OP's account presumably for some sort of accused money laundering, fraud, gambling, etc.
2. Paypal has not closed VGW's account which transfers and accepts far more in funds daily then OP.

I know that Paypal has closed accounts before, sometimes in error, but no one is alleging that they are an unscrupulous company right? So if Paypal is a legit, and honest company and Global is a shady organization wouldnt they have shut down VGW?

I think what OP is going through is awful, but there are more details going on that we are not privvy too. Global absolutely needs to have a contingency in place for something like this. Even if it means cutting OP a few checks and charging him the processing fee.

At this moment in time though, unless OP starts posting all of his communication and transactions from Paypal then we dont know the full story. Dont get me wrong, I love a good conspiracy, but this 1 has some holes that need plugging.

Sadly no update, was told I would get a phone call and did not and e-mail level support still giving me nothing more than automated messages.

This is pathetic from a PR standpoint at least. Hope this is resolved. If you are operating legally why is there an issue providing this large of a sum of money through another method.

Zero update, continue to get the run around, they say they will have somebody contact me and expedite it and nothing comes, rinse repeat everyday for the past week... I get zero support from the support emails they just say my paypal is blocked thats why they cant send.. seems they dont take it serious or escalate it at all

I actually messaged BeHumble! yesterday through a different medium. Not sure if he has seen it yet but I am chatting with him offline about it.

Thank you all for your interest in this matter. I cannot go into too much detail at the moment but I will stress that this is an extremely unique and isolated issue.

I appreciate the concern some people have and welcome this. When the matter is resolved I will be the first person to jump on here and happily tell you so. Without going into any detail please let me reiterate that this is not a situation that >99% of our players should worry about happening to them.

So why can't you send the guy some bitcoin or any of the other numerous crypto's out there? Seems like it could very easily be handled by any other poker site, why can't you guys handle it? Why should anyone else feel safe playing here if you can't even pay this guy?

What amounts are safe to withdraw, and in what increments? I don't want earnings I have worked very hard for taken from me because somebody screwed up on Paypal or Global's end. With a growing bankroll, this is a serious concern. 99% of players don't have to worry about it, so does that imply that those who play 3/6+ do?

To clarify it has nothing to do with cash out amounts, frequency, increments or balances. I won't go into specifics about any particular player but this is by no means the biggest cash out we have done.

Again, I appreciate and understand your concern but this is not an issue the player base will be effected by.

This seems scary so if your paypal gets flagged or shutdown (which isn't very hard to get done to your paypal account) global has no way to pay you and you're basically screwed? Is this another one of their loopholes? I really think they need to start dishing out more withdrawal options for people to feel more comfortable. Having only one way to get money in and out seems a bit ridiculous.

I could be wrong but from what I have gathered I think the money is in limbo at the moment because global sent the payment to paypal, paypal shut the account down and maybe it has not went back yet?

Hi guys,

I just wanted to give you an update on this.

I am happy to let you know that Global Poker and I have resolved this matter. I am very happy with the outcome.

I appreciate that whilst this took longer than I first anticipated that the matter was complicated and given that, Global Poker resolved this in a reasonable amount of time.

My Global Poker playing experience has always been a positive one and I am glad that this hasn't changed.

Now that this is resolved I am going to get this thread closed so that we can spend less time focussing on this and more time on all the good things Global Poker does for the US poker community.
