Max payout per hand? Max payout per hand?

I was reading the terms and conditions and stumbled upon this:

Quote:
VGW reserves the right to change the payout rates and odds of any of the Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Games at any time. You can see the actual and any amended details by clicking on the Tournament Win Table in the Lobby or as indicated by the table pot. It is your responsibility to check the payouts on each occasion before you participate.
The maximum gross win ("Maximum Win") on any one hand, via your participation in the Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Games, is limited to $5,000USD
VGW places a maximum Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion payout limit ("Payout Limit") of $10,000USD. VGW Holdings Limited hereby reserves the right to subject all payouts in excess of the Payout Limit to a manual check before any remaining win amounts in excess of the Payout Limit are paid out to you. VGW Holdings Limited will make reasonable endeavours to conclude any such checks within 72 hours of the win occurring and will not withhold any excess amount unreasonably.

Maybe a rep could clarify? you can't win more than 5k on a hand?

I pulled this quote from another thread from months ago.

As I don't play big enough to run into that situation, I can't personally confirm or deny.

First off, we still never decided if illusive is a sicko or a genius, or perhaps he is both.

With that said, I would be surprised if those rules were actually in place, but also completely agree there needs to be clarification from Global on that language.

With that said, I personally haven't hit the cap, but I am aware of other players that have gotten more that that supposed cap. Some of which are around these here parts, and I would be shocked beyond belief if they were leaving dollar amounts that can purchase nice cars, some houses, and a cheap airplane sitting on Global. Even with the paypal fees, I think they would have moved it back and forth as needed.

And without a doubt if someone tried to take out $11k and it got stopped, and the person was refered to that TOS language.... there would be an epic thread going about that for sure.

Still I would love some Global clarification of that language, and I am glad OP brought it up. That is odd language to be sure, good catch OP.

i'm less concerned with the 10k cashout limit than the 5k on a hand lol

They used to always say they couldn't offer 5/10 or 10/20 when the site first got going because of sweepstakes law in certain jurisdictions. Now they don't give a ****.

It isn't clearly written out or explained well, but that applies to the sweepstakes and contests they offer. The games of skill do not fall under that situation. If they have a contest on FB, then It would not have a greater value of $5,000. Since you play for $weepsCash and they have zero value....it just doesn't apply.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense to me. Still I wouldn't mind a Global rep also confirming its the case.

In the Paypal fees thread we've seen people post that they paid more than $1000 in PayPal fees. Wouldn't this mean they've pulled more than $20K off the site? But, yes, clarity from the horses mouth is always best. Nit that it will ever be an issue for me!
