Mail In Envelopes SC Requests Confusion Mail In Envelopes SC Requests Confusion

03-08-2022 , 12:45 PM
The thread regarding the mail ins became a bit of a mess so that's why I'm posting here - apologies if this isn't kosher.

But from what I understand, they credited mail in requests today. I've heard of, and talked to, some people who were credited for letters they sent in 4 weeks ago. But requests that I sent in 10 weeks ago or more were not credited.

Support is absolutely no help at all, unfortunately. They tell me that they've received letters and they're being processed. I've gotten no rejections or anything. And I've been credited in the past. Does anyone have similar experiences?

If they can't even properly process these envelopes requests which, according to my understanding, are necessary for them to operate legally...how can I trust them to be a legit site, with a legit RNG, etc.?

Have patience. The good thing about the SC requests is that they are giving you free money. The bad thing about them is that the whole process is like a black box. We mail them in, and then have absolutely no idea what happens to them, or when they will be credited. I have two friends who mailed requests to Chumba Casino at about the same time (if you don't know, it is the same company, with all the same rules, but it is more slot machine and table games and no poker). One of them got credited within less than 6 weeks, and the other didn't hear for maybe 8 weeks. Why? Who knows. But eventually he did get credit.

I imagine they get many thousands of these envelopes every day - and I figure they probably don't have someone who makes sure that they get processed exactly in the first come first served order. More likely they have some process that tries to maintain an order, but it probably has a lot of wholes in it. I remember when I had sent in maybe 100 one day, and several weeks later maybe I got credit for 10, and a few weeks later for the rest. Why? Because. Would I like to know? Yes - but I'm resigned to the fact that I can just mail them in and eventually it will show up in my account.

The ability to process these requests quickly has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not they have a fair RNG. I personally have seen nothing to suggest anything funny about their deal - but other people do. I've heard that about every site I've ever played on, and I just don't worry about it. I am pretty certain that the people they pay to process SC requests are not the same people that run the company or that program their software.

I was just going to sarcastically post about how much I love looking a gift horse in the mouth then you had to jump in and be a good guy!

I received some a few weeks ago, I had forgotten about mailing.

Well, funny story...

I ended up posting on Trust Pilot - because I have heard in the past that doing so was the only way to get them to respond to you. Appeared to be quite the mistake.

Thirty minutes after I posted on there I received an email from them saying that I have been violating their terms of service, sent me a questionnaire...less than 24 hours later my account was deactivated indefinitely....

Do you know what it is that you did that violated the terms?

They say that it was VPN use to intentionally manipulate and obfuscate my location. But that doesn't make any sense in the slightest. I haven't used a VPN to play at all. I have logged in from different IP addresses because of traveling, which I explained. Then I got the permanent ban.

The timing of it all I think is what makes me look at it as pretty sketchy.

It's because you complained rudely and publicly on Trustpilot. They manufactured an excuse to ban you. They dont need an excuse though, they can ban for any or no reason.

I suspected traveling and logging in from different states would look suspicious so I only logged in from my home wifi before they banned me.

Sure seems that way. That plus them not wanting to give me over 2,000 envelopes worth of credits (worth $10,000).

I would love to hear an explanation from the Global Poker employees that come on this message board to explain things/defend their actions.

This is easy, my guess is that they probably feel you're abusing the process if you send in that many in a short period of time. There's no way you're giving back even a tenth of that in rake before you're cashing out. If I send in requests, I don't worry about the playthrough, but I estimate how much I need to play for the rake to equal any free sweeps I might have received and it seems to sync with when cashouts become available. A little restraint goes a long way.

Is 2,000 letters over the course of 2 months that much? I spent a lot time writing. But 1,000 per month doesn't seem like that much

If they're offering it in their terms and services, and I can write 15 of them per hour. And I was writing 1,000 per month...no it doesn't seem like that much.

Monetarily of course its a lot. But this is the company we're talking about here...

ok? they still obviously cant afford to give everyone 60k. anyone thinking theyre exempt from them making up a reason to ban you for sending that much is dense and foolish and got greedy.

The problem isn't how many you send in, the problem is how much you take out. In my limited experience, if you use the sweeps coins as a bankroll and only cash your winnings, there isn't a problem. It is my belief, as long as you generate more in rake than you cash out, even if you get in their pocket a little, you still don't have any problems. The problems seem to arise when you hit and run with their money.

Global Poker is a business. In a business, if you have a customer that costs you more than you earn from their patronage, you tell them to go shop somewhere else. Whereas, if the customer generates a profit, you keep them around.
