Idaho Players Idaho Players

Fend off just sent me an email saying no more sweeps cash for Idaho residents starting July 1st. Will Global be making the same decision to cut off Idaho players?

Global is doing the same. Make sure you cash out by July 28th or you lose your sweeps cash.

What's brought on this change? Did Idaho pass a new law?

It's kinda strange so far. My brother who hardly ever plays got an email from global a week ago saying no more after the 1st and I, who plays most days have still received nothing.

My theory is global is getting ready to add another country. Idaho has a law that sweepstakes and lotteries have to be restricted to the US and Canada. That's why we had to leave the powerball when they added Australia this year. That all I can come up with that makes any sense. Would be nice if they weren't so incompetent that they actually notified us if they are going to bar us.

Upon log in today on several of their other sites it updated the T&C so you have to say if you are from/accessing the account from Idaho. If so, you are no longer allowed on the site.

Well if they can drop a very small state like Idaho and replace it with countries with much larger populations maybe we'd see more traffic which would be good.

I'm hoping it's Mexico, if this theory proves to be true.

Never forget it is political corruption (bribes) in both parties that screws over regular citizens. 10 years since black Friday and we can not have the basic freedom to play a game with our own money. It may seem like a small issue but call your Senator and Reps and tell them we want to live free. They tally the calls.

While I agree 100% with your statement I live in a red state with the local government trying to make it harder to even vote in elections...nevertheless play a card game online unfortunately

Requiring an ID to vote is so burdensome.

It is for those who are disabled, elderly, low-income, live in rural areas where the nearest office to obtain ID is several miles away, or do not have access to a car or transportation.

That's preferred

The pop up on the first has you agree that you don't live in the state of Washington and are allowed to play according to the T&C's. You have to actually go to and read the T&C's to see that idaho is excluded. They either screwed that up also or are hoping idaho players don't realize and don't withdraw, thereby forfeiting their money. I'm hoping they are just incompetant but its a bad look.

All Idaho residents have received (and continue to receive) specific in-game messaging and emails advising them of the change and how the change might affect them, and will get repeated reminders to redeem any prizes.

Non-Idaho residents are simply getting notified of the change to the T&C.

No offense David but your wrong. I am an idaho resident and received nothing. The only reason I knew about it is my brother got an email. I received nothing and my dad received nothing.

I also did not receive an email and had to look in the terms and conditions aswell and also saw the thread on global poker on here. So it's not just a one off.

Statewide elections are two years apart. Hard to imagine that anybody who actually wants to vote couldn't find a way to get an ID with two years notice.

Perhaps I am overestimating the intelligence of rural, low income voters.
