I've played about 1300 tournaments on global 90% of them being hyper turbos. Here are my stats:

ITM%: 36
ROI: 0.2%
Total ROI including Rake: -8%
Avg. stake $36
total profit: $-4500

Should I be concerned? I've looked at variance calculators on poker dope and read other forums where it seems very possible I'm still a winning player given the insane variance at hypers. with an ITM% of 36 I guess one could say I need to work on heads up play? Maybe beating the rake at hypers is close to impossible but I've seen people do it on shark-scope.

I've also played quite a bit of $218 turbos which could be contributing to more of the swings.

youre probably just not the very best and you're playing a game where the edge is so small only the tip top of the pool is going to have a worthwhile win rate. why did you choose to play hypers?

The lowe stake hypers are beatable. Play the $ 5 and$11 ones for that sample size and I bet you turn a profit.

The variance calculator doesn't take into account the speed of the tournament of the starting stack depth, both of which increase the variance for hyperturbos.

I just wanted to try a new format. I usually play cash and sometimes live tournaments so I wanted a way to practice ICM and push fold.

Don't know for sure. I was just pointing that out for the primedope math can't be trusted without taking that into account.

why anyone plays SNGs over $11 on that site is beyond me............
