Having mailed a number of written requests I can confirm that this fabulous promotion works great and I am in constant amazement that they're able to continue the promotion for as long as they have done. Thanks Global Poker! For what it's worth I try to spread the word about your site whenever I am talking about poker with people.

It is not as much of a promotion as a requirement by law. The second they stop giving the mail in $weeps Cash, it becomes not a sweepstakes by law, and then life gets very difficult for Global. So I don't see a day in which they won't offer the $weeps mail in offer. They might reduce it or something like that, but it will never go away completely.

I am attempting to mail for sweeps cash.
I exchanged a few emails with their admin as I wait, it has been 4 weeks since I sent, they have politely responded that they have not yet been received and request continued patience, which is fine.
They don't seem to understand some simple specific questions I ask that someone here may be able to answer.
1) why does it take several weeks when we are sending these via first class mail? They tell me they will be processed as soon as they arrive.
2) people here report the first request takes weeks, subsequent ones are fast. Any explanation?
3) is my initial 4 week wait typical? Do I need to do something to receive my sweeps cash?

PM (Personal Meassage) the GlobalPokerCSadmin your problem. He/she helped me. You need > 5 posts to use PM.

I wasn't aware that they're required by law to offer this. Is that a fact? No matter what the case may be I think it's a great offering and I make a point of mailing in a couple of requests each month.

It seems to be taking Global longer to process $weeps mail-ins.

Can you, or anyone, confirm that the initial request takes longer than subsequent?
I PMed as advised in earlier post, no response from global poker

E-mail support again about about the delay. PM admin again. "Squeaky wheel gets the grease."

Initial request took longer (with some confusion on their part.) It took a few weeks. Now, the issuance is regular.

My first batch took 2-3 weeks. Just sent another will post when that goes thru.

So to do this you don't need to put your screenname or e-mail anywhere on the envelope or written and placed on a piece of paper in the envelope?

That’s correct, just name and address and they link it. I wrote everything on the envelope - no paper.

I can confirm this second round they just deposited mine so right on 1 week turnaround this time.

My last couple of letters haven't posted (mailed about a month ago) and I am somewhat embarrassed by this because I had been talking up the site to a guy who lives up the street from me and so he registered and we both sent in sweepstakes request letters in the mail at the same time and now he is asking me why it is taking so long. It would be great if a global rep could step in to take a look but I understand if they don't consider this issue worth investigating.

It has been about 10 weeks since I made my first mailing request, to the letter. I took the advice from this forum and sent a polite PM and got the following generic reply from Global about 5 weeks ago but still no sweeps cash.

There is a fair bit of administrating process in collating the sweeps. Also as you can appreciate this is an extremely popular promotion and has been growing exponentially.

Because of this turnaround times have slowed a little due to the sheer workload our staff in this department are facing.

I have to nudge CS often to credit my account. They respond rather quickly after a little push.

I don't really need the free $weeps, but since it's offered, I'll take it.

I also use coupons, buy on sale items and use generic freezer bags. I like to think I'm frugal. My kids just call me cheap.

is where you want to get your info from. In the past I think I saw a max of $300 per year, but I can't seem to find that anymore so they may have removed that limit. But don't take my word for it, read through the rules yourself so that you know how to use the system correctly.

Update, I sent in my initial request for $weeps on Columbus Day. I emailed and PMed customer service a few times when nothing appeared. Today my account was credited with $6,and I received email that this was for the period 1/24-1/29 and my next $6 will appear on 1/30

This may be a stupid question but I want to be sure I am going to do this the correct way.
What is throwing me off is when they say to send a 'stamped' #10 envelope etc. etc.
Of course I'm going to put a stamp on it..then I started thinking, do they want us to mail them a stamped #10 envelope within an envelope to them? Just the wording is not clear to me. But that would not make sense as they are not sending me back anything in the mail.
... feeling dumb here, so pls don't be too hard on me ... LOL

My understanding is you only need to send the one envelope with a stamp on it. No need to nest them inside of each other.
