The Sunday Scrimmage this week has an extremely grotesque name...

"Sunday Scrimmage SC 80,085 Guaranteed [Deep] - Breast Cancer Awareness Month"

If you are going to support a series issue like breast cancer, make it honest. Don't make childish jokes when millions of women around the globe are facing a very serious issue.

By the way, I don't see Global Poker making any real contribution to breast cancer awareness. How's that?

My advice? Stop trying to pretend like you care about a serious issue and just have your silly little Sunday tournament like you would any other week.

Shameful behavior from Global Poker this week.

They really need to step it up.

Before anyone gets a case of righteous indignation, my wife is a breast cancer survivor and after what we went through together, I am allowed a couple of jokes.

Bonus points for anyone who can get a reasonable estimate on how many breast cancer awareness, fundraising, etc organizations have the words "boobs", "tits," etc in their name.

You know, I hadn't thought about it like that. I suppose it might be offensive to me if I were a woman and had suffered from breast cancer. Hmm. Perhaps I need to start spending more time carefully reviewing what I say to ensure it's not offensive to any specific groups. This forum thread has the potential to pick up steam and become a PR nightmare for Global Poker!

Maybe it is offensive, but I fail to see how it is problematic. People, in the U.S. at least, seem to think they have a constitutional right to not be insulted or offended.
