i'm more interested in knowing if this is or has happened to other people. also not sure if it's really threadworthy, x-post from general thread.

cliffs: i was on the button and was about to click bet when my hand was folded. i emailed global with the hh and they said sorry m8. the amount i'm owed is $1.

Back, before I was banned (because they double charged me and I disputed the duplicate charge), this happened to me several critical times. I chalked it up to latency or some bug, but i'm starting to wonder what kind of BS these guys are really trying to pull.

Yep, they are slowly bleeding the poker industry dry, $1 at a time in hands like the one above.

No argument that something went wrong here, but to jump to nefarious intent is a bit over the edge.

With that said, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience.

This has happened to me a few times when I was going to call and it was preflop every time. In each case I believe I would've lost chips, in one case a sizeable amount because it would have been set over set. Unlike some, I appreciate GP for being smarter than I am and making me fold.

I played against someone who check/called my flop bet then open folded turn once but haven't seen it other than that

You really wanted them to give you money?

I think the client and server are out of sync because of some spike in lag time. The server probably thinks action came to you, and you waited too long. On your end, action came to you but time ran out too soon, or immediately. Its like in a fps online video game where your opponent freezes and you get the easy head shot.

if you haven't put money in the pot there is no time bank, so a lot could have been timeouts on your end :/

they reimbursed me in the past when a table crashed mid hand, i didn't think this was different. i thought the HH replayer indicates the speed of the action as well indicating something weird happened.

i also figured global could check to see if i clicked fold (and subsequent 'do you REALLY want to fold box') or not and would be honest about it. i just assume their managers aren't poker people because the only other option ITT is that i miraculously clicked through the 'fold, really brah,?' with top two pair then made a thread about it asking for my bets back.

there is nobody from Global willingly engaging the forum so this is likely (and hopefully) a dead issue.

Hi there. Please check your inbox. Thanks.

This happens all the time because of the constant ****ing lag that is most definitely on Global's end and which causes these quick disconnects. Then when you get "disconnected" it automatically puts you into autofold mode and doesn't always display the "sit in" button, and even if you click the tiny little green sit in box in time it still folds you because as far as the server knows it was your turn to act 10 seconds ago. I mean, I can't even stress how awesome it is that the server lag as it constantly needs to resync itself is equal to or greater than the time I have to act, and even sweeter that it carries over to the next hand by sitting me out so that I'm constantly forced to fold AA, KK, QQ, AKs, and other stupid hands I didn't want to play anyway when I have 10-15BB at a FINAL GODDAMN ****ING TABLE
