How long do you guys think it will be before a DOJ sticker is on global poker front page? Sweeps cash for us to play poker? Legal my azz. Don't think they are going to be the first to out smart the government. They definitely lied about Pay Pal. All it takes is one lie to know your dealing with some dishonest people. They don't fix the software, no hud and traffic is dropping. A lot of regs from acr have come over to the site. Just seems like it will continue to go downhill unless they had rake back or some sort of promotion to bring more recreational players back.

There's basically few to no other options, which makes it better than nothing... but not by much. Nothing more than a place to keep chops up in hopes a real site opens at some point, legislation changes, etc.

I for sure wouldn't phrase it like you have, but I do agree with your overall points.

1. Don't risk more than you can afford to lose, on anything, ever.

(Side note, this is a very strange position for a shill to constantly promote, wouldn't a shill be screaming from the rooftops, "Put in as much money as you can, Global is the best!". But hey, I am expecting people to use logic and reason which is tough to find these days)

2. There isn't much competition, and markets without competition tend to become stagnant.

Global needs more than ever a few legit competitors to enter the space, I have a hunch if this happened, many of the issues would be resolved.

Would Global start releasing HH and allowing HUDs? No. I think they see this as an edge over the competition that could enter the space. As pointed out above, rec players don't want huds.

But I would also be willing to bet if 2 new competitors entered this market, had the ease of PayPal deposit, suddenly, Global would resolve whatever issues happened with PayPal, and the cash out thread problems would all but disappear.

I like Global, I am not trying to hide that. And Global may not want competition, but boy they sure could use it. I also use iPhones, and I am glad Android exists, because if Apple could just sit there and hand out the same tech year after year, without fear of losing market share, then they would innovate even less than they even do now.

Much the same, Global needs something to push them.

One other point. If you play on Global, then you accept all of the risk that may or may not exist. I agree we should want Global to be better, but when you continue to pay the rake, you are telling Global you are just fine with how things are. It doesn't matter if you like that or not. It is how it is. So if you really want Global to make changes, and listen to you, stop playing there and make it known you have, and for what reasons. (Again... this is a strange thing for a shill to say, but I digress). Some people have stated their case, but most just whine. If you are here to just whine, please move along. If you left Global, or are leaving Global, please tell Global your reasons and then pull chocks.

Personally I love that they dont allow huds. Huds aren't poker.

To be honest...the amount of tables in the high stakes arena have been down when I opened the lobby lately. Maybe it is my timing of logging on, there use to be 4-6 tables going ($10/$20), but at some points in the day or evening there may be one or none. Not trying to change subject CJ...just an observation.

Could Shane have found another position with global? minted poker Neil Butterworth went down to last day promising players their moneys where safe. My favorie site was donimican poker a site that bankrupted and kept the players money. money. That owner came in nightly on money tilt lol. Idk but global just had such a cash cow with paypal now that paypal is gone the good cheer and euphoria is gone.Its a shame.
