Global Poker is operated by VGW GP Limited and the sweepstakes promotions and prizes (Sweeps Coins games) offered at Global Poker are operated by VGW Games Limited and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority. Both VGW GP and VGW Games are subsidiaries of VGW Holdings Limited, a public company incorporated in Australia in 2010.

Global Poker is a leading poker room bringing fun and excitement to poker players globally. Our initial focus is on the US – “The Home of Poker” – and Canada, but we will expand to other regions soon, making Global Poker truly global!

How Global Poker bringing fun and excitement to the players globally, if it's not truly global?
I understand that if it's not true(truly) that means false.
Planning to expand to the other regions after US and Canada? Maybe country or continent? Why not Australia? As soon as PayPal come back as a payment processor?
Question about taxes. As I know, if you are doing business in the US you must pay taxes. Company registered in Australia to pay them taxes too?

I think it's probably more of a player quality thing. Global is known for being the #1 place where skilled US and Canada players congregate so they want more players like that I think. And outside of the US and Canada players usually aren't very good so they just don't bother doing the paperwork to get their website approved in other countries.

Also players wouldn't be able to effectively communicate with one another like they do now if everyone used a different language. I have lots of good conversations with people on this website especially right after I win a big pot especially if I got lucky. What they don't know if that people have been calling me Lucky Liz since I was in kindergarten and even before by my parents and brothers and sisters. Though I tell them sometimes if I feel like it.

Anyway if everyone spoke a different language people would have to go back to old-fashioned poker games played at peoples houses to ensure everyone spoke English. I have a group of guys and gals that I used to play with in a similar format. All of them spoke English but we had to stop because of the novel coronavirus so now we all play on Global every Friday night. Sometimes we randomly end up at each others tables when we are playing tournaments which happens more than you might think bcuz we all play the same tournaments. When that happens it is super funny bcuz you can call your friend up and discuss hands and laugh about how you're playing. Really funny and helpful in the late stages of the tournament especially.
