GlobalPoker account blocked/money confiscated GlobalPoker account blocked/money confiscated

Hey, I recently started playing poker Seriously and picked Global Poker since my friend played on the site and really liked it. The problem is he was playing from Estonia using vpn and his account was pulled down due to circumstances.
He is the guy who has been my mentor and told me where to study and shared me his strategy and everything about poker.

I have tried poker here and there but never took it seriously.
Since April 2020 started playing 5-6 times a week and took it as my full time job.

Started off playing 1/2s and ended up playing few 5/10s even.

Global poker flagged me since my graph went up very fast for a new player and did their investigation.

They wanted me to play for them (video of me playing 100min) which I did and had $1400 profit in that period.
They came back and asked for a live video meeting where they asked several questions.
Now they sent me an email saying they think my friend is playing since the strategy looks exactly the same (I am playing using his strategy....)
Long story short they said they think my friend has control over my account which he does not. They blocked him once and now trying to take me down with my money so take can have a nice payday for themselves.

Have any of you ever experienced anything like this?
This has been the only site ever where I feel like they flag you if you finally start making profit.

Any help would be much appreciated. Considering talking to a lawyer since there is 5 figure $$$$$ on the account and they are saying based on the strategy etc it looks like my friend is playing even though I offered them to send a video of me playing 3-4-5-6hrs straight.

Thanks,

Karl

This all sounds very shady on your part and your friends.
I actually trust the Global team to a certain extent. So I’m inclined
To believe them vs you since your details are not very detailed and
Include vpn use and some friend with a “strategy”

The way you presented this hurts your case imo.
If you are legit, do your best in your communications
With support and post the final decision and go from there.

You can only play on Global from America or Canada. Are you from either of those countries?

Yeah I was wondering the same. Based on his story and writing style I’m inclined to believe he is outside of the US and Canada.

Sounds like Global gave you a chance and you failed the test.

Yes I am in America. Been here for over 6 years now.
My friend is professional poker player and has played for years now. He is the one who told me about poker etc and taught me to become a player I am now.

Global just said they did their investigation and believe my friend is using my account.
I only used vpn just to make sure I do not get in trouble since I am part of the track team and was not sure the laws about online poker in the state of Georgia

Using VPN is against the TOS, I think. But what does the track team have anything to do with this?

He’s just making as many excuses as possible for his cheating.
Can’t play poker and be on the track team I guess lol.
Yeah using a vpn is going to trigger a lot of problems.

You say Global thought your friend was playing on your account because you were using the same strategy. There has to be more to it than that. How did they link you with him? Same last name? Same bank account? What else could have possibly linked the two of you together?

VPN is against TOS. Nothing else really matters-that alone gives them the right to close the account.

Lol at the track team

No one gives a **** if you’re playing online poker. As in a sports team.

So your buddy was playing on your account. You got caught. It happens.

Score another one for Global security. Nicely done!

Foreign scum like you are part of a much bigger problem at Global. You deserve what happened to you and plenty more. Be thankful you're protected by the internet.
