David hopefully you can answer:

1. Is the new table design permanent for surge? It is hard to look at compared to the current tables. Frankly it looks really bad (cards, format, almost looks zoomed out idk how to explain it).
2. I'm assuming once you fix the issues PLO will also be included?

ya they credited me back for the stuck funds. At least it shows up in the hand history so you can be credited back at least. I actually would love to play 3 max i hope they can get it work right and put midstakes in. I hope they do it for plo too. Then no worries of collusion and now if your funds are stuck it shows up in the transaction history to get paid back. Those are 2 good things for global if they can get this to work I will be playing surge.

1. We know there are issues with visualisation for some players. There'll be some changes before the next rollout, but not many.

2. TBD. Definitely something we want to do, but not day 1.

Thank you for the responses. Not a good move in my opinion, but global seems to do that a lot so what do I know.

I just hope they really polish up the surge and the other tables before the switch because it is super dark and hard to see I only play 4 tables max. I don't have a million windows open super small.

Or even the option to switch to "classic" style or something for cash/mtt/sngs and still use the old tables.

This is an understatement. The new tables suck and are basically a downgrade in every way with no meaningful improvements.

I hope the changes at least slightly improve things.

+1. Why even change from the current tables? I would wager that 90%+ of your current player base would prefer current tables over this change.

Also, tables still aren't spawning and me (along with others in the thread) are still missing money from the crash. Your HHs are so garbage that I can't even be certain what I'm owed. Why not focus on changing hand history format before a table change that wasn't broken? So many other things that I think a poker site would focus on before this...

Well thanks for responding I guess, sounds like your product will continue to get worse for the majority of your player base.

id be shocked if this came out within the next few months successfully for all you waiting
02-05-2020 , 04:50 PM
So I'm assuming this is killed? Anyone at Global care to update or just want to update us on cool new avatars you have in the works?
02-06-2020 , 12:13 PM
Really hope this isn't 3 handed when it rolls out to SC...
02-26-2020 , 04:43 PM
So Surge 2021 yeah?
02-27-2020 , 05:23 AM
the jackpots are still literally broken and wont run even when theres enough people reg'd, i would suggest they just never release it
02-28-2020 , 11:00 AM
Surge is dependent on the new felt. I think they aren't going to force that on anyone yet.
02-28-2020 , 12:57 PM
Yeah I agree...just looked at the new felt and they haven't changed/fixed anything yet. They keep mentioning they are a "lean" team, but this is ridiculous. Also, with the amount of rake the site is taking in, how or why do you have such a lean team? Think if botting was an actual problem on this site. 0 shot this "lean" team would have any chance at combating that.

Poker GO's recent cash game stream sponsored by global referenced Surge, so Im guessing it's still in development.

I hope they do get this up and running. Doesn't appear to be any time soon though...

How does CTB not get mega tilted from the multi table bugs? Every time I accidentally hit fold when I'm in the big blind it just randomly closes one of my tables.

It is currently a lot closer than it was a week or two ago. We have put a lot of work into stability of MTTs (because of the large influx of MTT players) but also making the new felt look and work a lot better. Most tables spawning are now being spawned on the new felt, and some of the specific issues encountered by multitablers and streamers are now dramatically improved.

So once we get a few more changes deployed, you can expect to see some trial surge nanostakes (SC0.01 / SC0.02 and GC10 / GC20) sometime in April. Then on to Bounties... all going well.

That's great to hear. Thanks for the update. I'm certainly rooting for success at Global. Changes over the past several months have certainly been encouraging!
