I see that GPs beta testing fast fold poker. That's pretty much the only reason I play on Iggy but not really to into the whole convert to BTC, send to wallet, send to site and reverse for withdrawals. Would be happy to not have to deal with that process.

Those tables look like trash, but yeah I noticed it as well. Not sure if traffic is strong enough to get these going at any decent stakes. I play PLO anyway and these fast fold games never run for that so I guess doesn’t matter too much. Although that sicko ctb will probably have the max open trying to get them going so who knows.

I think the idea here is to bring in more traffic. Hopefully we get some Ignition fast-fold players. I like the fact that Global is making moves, trying to improve.

Unfortunately I doubt they will have the traffic to get these games running. But fingers crossed.

Played a couple of hands to test it out and if you move your table the next hand will pop up on a new table in the original spot new tables open. So you can't move the table to any other spot of your screen to play. This makes multi-tabling difficult, to say the least.

I didn't think they had the ability to make the design of the table worse, but they did. 1st question when developing these designs would be, How does making things(table/cards) smaller help? Quick answer: It doesn't.

imandrew - yeah the table design is bad. They do however have a note that says something along the lines of we know the table/card size is small and they have it marked as a fix needed.

That's good, but how does it even get created like that is more my point. It has to go through people to get to point we are at now. It just furthers my running theory that those in charge have no clue about poker. Too many examples of decisions like this to have a poker industry expert on their team.

Maybe this wont wipe out money like the reg tables freezing stealing funds. If this works without any issues I might come back. has to have a decent player pool at midstakes though.

I get ads for global constantly(mostly targeted ads however) so I think they are trying to catch more fish.

The major problem is many long time players are scared to deposit after Black Friday because the UIEGA laws have not changed.

I love the idea of adding fast fold to Global. I'm sure it will bring in more players, but god that new layout is terrible. I mean why change it from the layout they currently have? I think the current version has a clean, unique look that works perfectly fine. I don't get why ignition did it a year ago either.

I absolutely cannot wait for Surge (zoom/zone) to hit Global. I used to strictly play on Bodog/Bovada/Ignition and the Zone 25nl/50nl/100nl (when the latter 2 ran) was my bread and butter.

I don't like dealing with BTC (though I should probably get over it) and hate the withdraw times Ignition otherwise takes. Also if I don't go with BTC they don't like my debit and credit cards. For these reasons I have pretty much been strictly playing on Global. Doing decently well on Global at the 20nl and 50nl stakes (sometimes going higher).

So far Global has treated me well but boy was I missing the fast-fold structure, soooooo happy to see it being introduced.

when is surge (fast fold) coming to the sweeps cash games?

That is what we all want to know. I would love to see fast fold tournaments. Pre black Friday I used to crush Full Tilt rush mini tournaments.

Looking forward to the SC implementation of this and number of players it draws. Although I do feel like the player pool will be drained of their cash much more quickly now.

Do they have a tentative launch day for this?

Their patch notes said it will be available early in the New Year. I hope we can get PLO going at 1-2 if they are offering PLO games.

Last time I tried the beta it was pretty unplayable. Tried to hope on again this week, but no one is ever on it.

I demand PLO.

I guess i should of not bothered waiting to try surge out. Someone told me they had cash games today but i see its only 4nl.... I try to sit on chrome its just white screen and i remove ad blockers and everything still same thing. but returned my money back. i try it on fire fox the screen comes up but no cards. And then i notice it didn't return my money. Reloaded signed out and still no money back. Once again global system stole my money. At least it was 4nl. Just a warning dont play unless you want to risk losing your funds. Either way back to grinding iggy.

Surge 4nl has been deployed on a trial basis. All feedback welcome here or via CS.
