I know it is still a few months out but I just rented a house for the series and am starting to think about my schedule while there. It is getting me excited as with every year around this time.

A few players at the tables I was chatting with on Global mentioned they would be interested in a Global Poker meetup in Vegas during the summer. Something friendly where players from Global can get to know each other and see who is behind that account that keeps check-raising you

haha, I know it was tongue in cheek, but it's been a somewhat common question of US residents who are traveling abroad, can they play on global while out of the country? The answer is yes, as long as the locale will allow them to access the URL, they can play... The key being they can also cash out their winnings since they have a registered US (or Canadian) address.
